Excellent academic record and staff that is genuinely focused on the children
SMS is a wonderful school! Our teachers are supportive, and set the bar high for our children. SMS students work hard but play hard as well! We love having the Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia---their passion for Catholic education is contagious! Our science department is amazing--our elementary students have their own lab; our middle schoolers consistently do well at the regional science fair. 8 of 11 past Grand Champions of the Appalachian Regional Science Fair have come from SMS!
Amazing school! The teachers are so kind and you can tell they love your child. They don't stay in the same class all day like other schools. They actually go to science, music, art, computers and spanish. They get to go to the lunchroom and experience the lunchroom line and trays. My daughter loves school and it's been such a great experience for her. She's excited about learning at St. Mary's.
I can't say enough about the quality of education provided at St. Mary's. The staff is caring and devoted to providing our children with the very best education. Students are taught to treat one another with respect. Extracurriculars are varied and parental involvement tops. St. Mary's is not just a school but a home for our chidren.
St. Mary's is wonderful. We wouldn't have our child anywhere else
An excellent school! We have very bright children, and they have been reached and challenged consistently every year that they have attended St. Mary's. We love it there! It is a very bright, cheerful, happy place. Parents are very involved and are encouraged to do so. There is a great deal of variety in the so-called 'special' classes: music, art, etc.
