We have been with Rossville Christian Academy for two years. We are a travelling family and move a lot. We felt welcome and were accepted by the teachers, kids and parents. It was hard for our son to adjust to a new education environment since he came from a Montessori school, but the teacher worked with us and was willing to listen, which helped immensely. The teachers are committed to education of the kids and bringing up the best in their students. All personnel is friendly. From the very beginning we felt as part of a big family.

I have had three children be educated at RCA. I have been more than pleased with the education and nurturing the school provides. My oldest was accepted to every college he applied to and had significant scholarship offers from each. The students are encouraged to participate in sports, student organizations and various honor societies. The students make friends for life because of the awesome family environment. I feel very blessed my children have been able to be part of such a great school.

We have had two children attend Rossville Christian Academy. 1 has graduated and received a 33 on the ACT and high GPA. He ended up getting a Full Ride from University of Memphis, yes, a FULL RIDE!!!!!!! We have a second son that is a junior right now, is doing great in academics and having a great time. He plays 2 - 3 sports a year and is meeting some great life long friends I fully believe. We drive from Memphis, TN everyday for them to attend and would recommend it highly.

Our children attended two other large, Memphis-area, independent schools for several years before enrolling at RCA. We had equally good experiences at all three schools. Our two oldest graduated from RCA and subsequently earned bachelors and masters degrees from regional universites (one of them an SEC school). Both are now successful in their respective careers. RCA is even better today. The technology in the new media center is outstanding and the 30+ ACT club grows every year. RCA is a sound educational investment.

Rossville Christian Academy has been a Godsend for our family. My son is dyslexic and requires the smaller classrooms and the individualized attention that Rossville provides. In our four years at this school, my son has excelled in academics and sports, and has benefitted from it's strong Christian message.

Our son has been going to Rossville since he was in Kindergarten and now he is in the 11th grade. The school has good teachers and admistration and we are very happy here. We feel our son is getting a great education and it is a good environment for our son and anyone's child to get and education.

When reading this please remember that we have a loving God, that teaches us to love one another, NOT to hate one another. A young male student was being bullied by other students and the school didn't handle the problem in the right matter. The school came up with this new policy to handle the problem. All the information about this story can be found online at WREG.com.plus online under Rossville Christian you can find several sites where lots of people are very upset at this new policy started in late Dec. of 2011. This is the news station that a current parent called to report this story because she found it so upsetting. "A staff member or student who promotes, engages in, or identifies himself/herself with such activity through any word or action shall be in violation of this policy. Should the administration determine a violation of this policy, the person involved will be subject to disciplinary action with the possibility of permanent dismissal. Any applicant who is not in compliance with this policy will not be admitted. These children will leave this school one day as adults. Why teach them to hate people that are different?

RCA has been a fabulous school for our children. We have three and have been pleased with the administration and the teachers. My children love the environment and opportunities that RCA has provided. Although my children have different interests, each has been able to be involved in various activities that have lead to a more confident, well-rounded student. I would highly recommend RCA to anyone. The best deal around!!!

Who would guess that this school is close to celebrating it's 40 anniversary! It runs as if it's a few years old and still working out the kinks. A country school with great potential if someone would just bring about the changes that it needs to be competitive with other private schools. A real library, smaller classes (25 in K!), a PTA that is open to new ideas, some services for resource/gifted kids, and A/C in the gymnasium would be a start. Fabulous staff needing a fabulous leader.

RCA is a wonderful school! It has been the answer to our prayers. RCA offers the lowest tuition in the area and provides a high quality, Christian education. The course offerings in the high school expand each year and AP classes are being offered. The only problem RCA has is keeping up with the growing Fayette county population. New teachers are being added to keep the classroom sizes small and accomodate the increasing enrollment. If you are moving to the area, I would highly recommend a campus visit to check out this school!

I have two sons at RCA as well as a high school aged niece. My sons are in elementary & middle school. This is our third year to be involved with the school. I've seen very positive changes over the past three years. There are more sports being offered for elementary ages. My niece has done honors work during her high school years. My oldest son has been challenged much more by his classes at RCA than at the public school that we had tried the year before. I'm very impressed with how the teachers work with the students & parents to solve problems & make the overall environment conducive to learning.

Class size very large for private school. 5K has 25 students. No advance placement courses. Although school saw gain of new students they decreased admin. staff postions. Poor sports programs.

This school is amazing. I love it and I would say it's the best school I've been to along with my brother. The teachers are very caring, and understanding towards each individual, and the education is outstanding. I would recommend this school to anyone who is interested.

RCA is a wonderful school. I attended Rossville from kindergarten through 12th grade as did my two sisters. Now my children attend. The teachers are caring and work hard to help each student acheive his or her best. Elementary students enjoy weekly classes in art, music, p.e, spanish and computer. Recently, RCA has added a learning center that has a full time teacher to assist students that need extra help. I would strongly recommend RCA to anyone.

My two boys have attended Rossville for 4 years. I am very unhappy with the adminstration. It seems to be different rules for every child. I dont think we will return next unless some big changes happen in the adminstration.

Rossville did great things in my life. Despite this there was still reasons for me to change schools. The teacher quality at the school is excellent. They provide an education in a laid back enviorment, which many students have thrived in this type of setting. I know to this day I could call any of my former teachers for help, and they would provide the necessary assistance. As for the administration at RCA, my family was quite disappointed. They sometimes cross the boundries of student/teacher confidentiality often not letting parents know when the students act out in class and/or punished for their actions. Many times my brother had received detention and my parents had no clue. This was my only complaint. I have full faith in the Board of Directors and many concerened parents to fix this problem. I recommend Rossville Christian Academy.

I taught at RCA for a while. The students are well-bahaved and the leadership is excellent. I appreciate the Christian emphasis and support of the administration and parents. The academics are good but not excellent. There could be more sports and I hope that the school will attract more students as it is a good one that deserves praise. I would send my child there.

RCA is a very family oriented school with high expectations of everyone. Kids and Youth learn more than the text book studies. They learn how to be outstanding community leaders, how to live and be examples as christians, and they learn to be respectful to all man kind and craetures. The staff is top notch. Teachers, administrators, parents, building engineers, and etc. give there time above and beyond the call of duty. They make sure that the needs of students are met in all aspects of their educational invironment. RCA has made this a great transition for my kids. They take a personal interest in each child as an individual not as a number in a seat in a room. The above mentioned qualities is what makes RCA the best in my book. SKV.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
