I have nothing but GREAT things to say about this school! My son went there and now my daughter goes there. We have been through 3 principles so far and i've liked them all,Mrs Leffew really seems to care for all her students.I am partial to a couple of the teachers Mrs Noland is one of the best teachers that they have, but they are all great! I brag on our school any time that I get!!!
I have 2 children that attend NHCE. I will begin with the principal. Mrs. Leffew is the most caring principal I have ever had the priviledge of knowing. She takes time to greet the children and parents. She cares emensly about the education of the children in her school. She wants to continually make the school better for our children and the children after ours. She is very fair and open minded. She has an open door policy and welcomes each family with open arms and a dedication to give our children the best education she can possibly give. She has an amazing staff and teachers that all work together to make this school what it is. The teachers are very loving to the children and are extremely dedicated in teaching our children all they can. I am proud to say that my children attend NHCE.
I am very pleased with the quality of education my child receives at NHCE. The teachers are dedicated to the best for all children. Ms. Leffew knows all of the children and takes an active roll in building relationships with each child. She even teaches my child in a book club class. I have never been to a school that has such a wonderful welcoming and caring atmosphere. We are very pleased with all NHCE has to offer.
I have had 2 children attend NHCE. I agree the teachers are excellent, discipline however needs to be enforced in a loving manner. Administration and teachers need to step up a bit and handle small situations better. I also believe it is hard to get involved, when I offer help it is often rejected or I am told I'm over steping my boundries. The school wants help, needs help but often does not accept help. I find it a shame, it could be a great school if parents were allowed to be more involved.
I have had 3 children attend NHCE. The teachers are excellent and the children seem to excel there. However, it is hard to get involved as a parent because there are such cliques. I attend meetings and volunteer where needed but since I am not in the 'in' crowd, I never feel accepted. The principal seems to endorse certain parents. Subsequently though, none of that is as important as my child getting a good education and that is possible at NHCE. Now if something could just be done about the evening pick up. I think it is ridiculous having to wait as long as you have to just to pick up your child.
