Poor treatment of child if they have special needs. Would make plans for situations with parents, then not follow those plans. Very little trust at this point.

My name is Ann Marie Pimental. My son Kyle attended Bassetti for fourth and fifth grade and my son Joey attended for third and fourth grade. Kyle was also in resource. I feel that Bassetti helped my children greatly. Ecspecially Kyle. The teachers are fantastic and Mrs.Raney is wonderful. The entire staff make the students and parents feel completely at ease. I recommend Bassetti very highly. It is a great school with a fantastic staff. My family loved Bassetti.

My son started kindergarten at Bassetti last year, and is in first this year. I love this school, the teachers are great, Mrs. Raney is awesome, I am confidant that my son is getting the best education Abilene Elementary has to offer and have passed up a great job to keep my son there. I would like to say thank you to the entire staff. I would also like to thank Ms. Owens, Mrs. Cortinez, and Mrs. Garrett, my son has a bright future, and you were a part of that.

Basetti Elementary is a awesome school. As a parent of a ADHD kid and the problems associated with that, Mrs. Raney and the staff were great working with my daughter. They went above and beyond to help. I am a military single parent of 2 and could not have got them through the school year without the help of Mrs. Raney and staff. If you think that Basetti is such a terrible school...try back east in North Carolina. You would learn to appreciate what you have here and help correct the problems. If you don't like the way things are run...get more involved with your kids activities and make it better.

Bassetti elementary is a wonderful school. Mrs.Raney and her staff do all they can for the students. The teachers are very dedicated to their students and go out of their way to ensure that the subject material is understood. My son has gone to Bassetti for 3 years now and has loved every year and every teacher he has had. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants a caring staff and a curriculm that challenges the students. I have heard that the curriculm is harder here than anywhere else in the country, but with teachers who work with each student there is not one left behind. We as parents need to remember that we also have to play a part in our kids education that means helping with their school work. Bassetti is a wonderful school.

My son has attended this school for 1 year now and I have to say out of all the Abilene schools he has attended this is the first one where he feels good about going to school everyday. My son is an honor roll student and attended a different elementary school here in Abilene last year and due to the bullies at that particular school his grade dropped from straight A's to A's and B's. The best choice I have ever made was moving fromthat district into the Bassetti district. I love his teachers and Ms. Raney. Thank You for all you do for my child.

My child has attended this school for 5 years now and I am proud to send them to school every day. I know my child will be safe and well taken care of. I also am very pleased with the excellent teachers that Bassetti provides. I think the positive reinforcement which this school believes in is a wonderful way to redirect discipline. Thank you Principle Raney! I love this school and am excited that my other children will be attending.

Great school if your child is a number on a piece of paper somewhere and not a living, breathing human being. Administrators and staff willingly misrepresent the truth at their convenience i.e. ignorant in the meaning and letter of the laws they are mandated to abide by (I.D.E.A.) and/or and misrepresent what the law to the parent in deliberate attempts to avoid doing their publicly funded job. Deliberate falsification of student records in terms of alleged infractions committed by students for discipline and concerning when and where they have contacted parents concerning these matters (fraud). Bullies run roughshod over the rank and file students, as long as the bully is displays proper obsequiousness to the teacher and staff and are counted among the favorites then the children that are bullied will be alleged to be the real problem. Compassion to your face, hypocrisy and passive aggressive hostile compliance behind you.

I just move from east texas to west texas and the teaching method is way different. The teachers are required to supply material that is sometimes too hard for the average student. My son is a smart kid and was getting good grade still he expereince the overwhleming stress of keeping up with the required grade.I was told that a 75 in math was failing according to this school and it was not good enough.
