We moved to Pearland from a really great HISD school - Briargrove Elementary (which we also loved). EC Mason has been a really great school. My daughter is in her second year there (4th and 5th) and has had great teachers both years. She has done well on her TAKS and is very involved in all the activities they have for kids (StuCo, Running Club, etc). I highly recommend this school. The only downfall may be the middle school they are moving to, as it will be a brand new school for 2012 and zoning has not been completed yet. Hopefully the quality of learning will continue to stay the same. I have not heard good things about a couple of the other middle schools, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that these issues do not transfer to the new Manvel Jr. High.

i moved to manvel from the HISD district. i was so impressed by the teachers AND staff @ E C MASON. my youngest was having problems with his speech since last year and thanks to the help of his teacher and tips on what i could do to help, hes speaking clearer. i can't say enough to explain how wonderful this school is!!

We just relocated to this school due to hurricane Ike.. I have 4 yo twin boys there Ms Peebles is one of the best teachers they were having problems at their other school and here they have a occasional bad days (they are 4) and Ms peebles is a great educator I have seen her work with the boys. I can only wish that she would be their teacher through out the years She is awesome!

My daughter is an inter-district transfer student to E.C. Mason. We love the school. The teachers and administrative staff are awesome!! I've always felt welcome to speak to her teachers at any time. She is in the G/T program and we have been pleased with the G/T program and specialist at this school.

my son had a fantastic year in kinder with his teacher. I am a teacher in this district, and I was very impressed with the nurturing, familial atmosphere at Mason. It is proof that the people make the school, not the newness of the buildiing or the technology. The teachers cared for my son as if he were theirs, and no parent could ask for more--

Have not had any real problems with our two boy's going to this school. We would like to see a little more teacher involvement with the parents when a child is having problems, such as disciplinary or learning.

*This school is all about 'THE CHILDREN'.* Parents & teachers work together to make this school so great. ****E.C. Mason is an EXCELLENT school.**** The teachers are wonderful, caring to the students, keep you up to date on everything & really appreciate you. A tremendous amount of parents show up for school activities, holiday class-parties, field trips and just to help teachers out. That says it all. It's wonderful. I appreciate my childrens teachers.

The teachers at the school are very caring. They provide a unique learning experience at a rural school. You see a lot of smiles when you walk through the building.
