I find this school very degrading. I am so tired of allot of the staff yelling like drill sargents to the kids to "shut their mouths" and at lunch getting in the kids faces and pointing their fingers at them yelling "what part of no talking don't you understand" From what I understand a child was choking and they could not hear them, so now there is no talking at lunch. A person chokiing will not be making a noise but holding their throat. Maybe a inservice should be taught to the students on what to do, like go get help, what the signs are. The kids are now told to hurry up and eat so they can go outside. I thought they were trying to PREVENT choking, and you are rushing the kids to eat faster? There has been several complaints brought to the principal and no response, no follow up. I don't even talk to my dog that way. Go visit your child at lunch and see. There is hardly any homework given. My child made a D so I contacted the teacher and asked if there was something that I could do at home to help out. All I ever get told is that they are doing just fine and not to worry about it. Even when they were absent, they said don't worry about the missing work.

Rolling hills was an awesome school until this year.My daughter has been attending school there since pre-k,The classes have gotten to many students for the teachers to handle. This is greatly affecting the teachers and students. If the school would STOP taking children in that DO NOT live in this district, AND check there home and legal status this could be prevented and our children could be taught better. Each year it gets worse, i guess the money the school district charges for children out of the district is more important than our childrens proper education. I personally know of too many children using there grandparents address, or a parent that they do not live with.WELL--whats up river road I.S.D. is the money the issue? or do you truely care about our children's education enough to start checking the validity of papers? I WONDER. we will see next year.

this school is a absolute 0!!!!!!!!!!!!! to the treatment of outsiders. The teachers are very unprofessionial treatment of children when i made several complaints about teachers actions towards my daughter they were completly ignored some teachers are flat out bullies to some of the childern. For example: there was a P-K child who missed his mother and began to cry the teachers reactions were to make the class sing the baby on the bus goes wa wa wa that to me is...very unprofessional!...another example: i went to pay my daughters school lunch decided to tell my daughter hello when i left she cryed and i wittinessed a teacher getting in her face and telling her that she was going to send her to the 4 year old class because she was a baby

My son just completed Kindergarten. This was a new experience for all of us so in the beginning we did not know what to expect or what would be expected of us. We were very pleased with what he learned this first year of school. He completed Kindergarten with full knowledge of the alphabet and numbers to 100. He can read simple words and sound out many harder ones. He can add and subtract and understands simple fractions. He was started on geography and can recognize many states. The teacher was supportive and guided us well on what we needed to participate in at home and the principal was accessible. I am glad to be in a small school district where I believe the students get more individual attention and have a better opportunity to become known by teachers besides their own and by the principal and the office staff.
