Roak is a Great School for any child. Principle and Faculty are great with students. Keep up the great job team Roak Elementary...

I believe roark 's biggest asset is there family liason she is a wonderful person and goes above and beyond for the students and thier families hopefully they are aware of the gem they have employed good job mrs. S you are a true inspiration.

This is an excellent school. It has good education and discipline. The principal is a very affable lady who cares for the education of the students. It also has good educational programs like D.A.R.E, Pen Pals, Safety Patrol, etc. that gives students opportunities to participate and let them do stuff for the school. It is a excellent school. Great programs, education, discipline, staff, and teachers.

I am a former teacher (some 8-10 years ago) & this was the most toughest school I've ever taught at. I loved all of the faculty, staff & administrators but it was just a tough crowd of kiddos.

About the tests


In 2012-2013, the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) was used to test students in reading and math in grades 3 through 8; in writing in grades 4 and 7; in science in grades 5 and 8; in social studies in grade 8; and end-of-course assessments for English I, II, and II, Algebra I and II, biology and US History. STAAR is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Texas. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.

The different student groups are identified by the Texas Education Agency; if there are a small number of students in a particular group, the state doesn't report data for that group.
