Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

CAE is a wonderful place to be! When our oldest was going into kindergarten, we didn't know much about the school and the kindergarten team lead took time after school one day to meet with my husband and I to answer our questions. We now have 2 children at CAE and do not regret our decision to send them there. The staff is phenomenal, with a desire for each and every child to reach their full potential. The principal and the AP are very approachable and they love all of the students. The principal does a monthly coffee with the principal for parents to come and hear what's going on. She sends weekly emails keep everyone in the loop, and her door is always open. The PTA provides activities such as family science night in which the science museum comes and bring lots of activities for the kiddos as well as a mobile planitarium. CAE is always looking for ways to improve and thrives on parent feedback. If we ever move, I plan to keep our kids at CAE!

You won't find a group of people & school staff that care more about your child. We are moving & I am so hoping to keep my youngest cild here her last year of elementary because I just don't see how any school can compare. The principal & the AP & office staff are so great with each of the kids & super involved. PTA is outstanding & all my children have been so blessed to attend CAE. Parents & staff here really are the best too & work hard to volunteer & offer a lot of special events all year long from picnics ot science nights to fitness nights & you name it. I really feel all the kids here feel special. Thanks CAAE for doing such a great job & going out of the way to make CAE a great place for our kids to learn.

I love CAE because the faculty all work together on the same page and are all enthusiastic about their tasks...Teaching. Since enrolling my child in CAE he has started to love school and has improved his grades over the first half of the year. I honestly beleive this starts with the Principle who has put together a great program that is followed up by an excellent staff. Either walking around or vaulenteering...you can't look at this school in function and come up with anything bad.

Last year my daughter had a wonderful year at CAE and I was very impressed with her teacher Mrs. Duhamell. This year however is a totally different story. Her teacher this year Mrs. Powell was terrible to say the least, she Discriminated against my daughter, treated her with total disrespect, and singled her out every chance she got, my daughter came home in tears every day, I was appalled at how a grown woman let alone a teacher could treat a child that way. I ended up switching teachers, but its not much better. I have requested a conference with her new teacher 2 times and my request have both been ignored. Also I have noticed that they have no concern with whether the students do well with their school work, their attitude has been either they do it or they dont, the teachers dont take the time to make sure the students understand. At the beginning of the year the school was talking about getting after school tutoring, but have not said anything since so I dont see that happening.

I think Charlotte Anderson is a great school. It has great academics and excellent teachers. The principal is very welcoming and has no problem getting to know the parents, plus makes it a point to know students by their names. I agree if you don't like Charlotte Anderson, move away! There are a lot of other options out there. Also, this school has been EXEMPLARY for quite some time now...

If Mr Beard wants to fire a whole bunch of teachers he has my support because kids only care about having a good time! We need teachers who aren't afraid to yell at kids to make them shut up and learn! My grandson doesn't like his teacher but he is learning alot! I don't work on the PTA but we like the pickles they sell. STOP SAYING BAD THINGS ABOUT THIS SCHOOL OR MOVE AWAY!!!

I was told to write nice things about cae but reading the comments make me sad and confused. It is obvious that some parents get a better feeling for this school than others. Now I wonder why it is so important to write good comments. Who is afraid of the truth? I'll give them 5 stars but I don't want to give it any now! Please don't use my name!

I'm laughing right now too. I currently serve on the PTA along with several other devoted parents. Charlotte Anderson Elementary is a "Super School" and I love having my kids go there!!! The principal puts kids first. The teachers work long hard hours. Charlotte Anderson Elementary is a "Super School." :)

I am laughing right now. I served on PTA a couple years back and had an opportunity to work with teachers and the principal. The truth is a small group of parents do 99% of PTA and the principal isn't very personable. Some teachers are good, none are bad. Just an alright school. The teachers do seem henpicked when I see them. I wonder, did the principal's wife write the last comment? I am sure more"super school" comments will soon appear!

I've seen a lot of shows talking about how bad teachers are protected. I think this school has done a good job of actually getting them out. Our son has been at the school for the last 3 years. His 3rd grade teacher this year is wonderful. She is a true blessing! Wish the good teachers got a bonus for all their hard work. So surprised at how the whole staff is involved and has the best school spirit. The prinicpal is always at functions and takes a real interest in the kids performance. The office staff is great and we have the best PTA. It's a very positive environment that encourages parents to be involved. Thanks CAE for being such a great school!!

I happened upon this site as we are looking to buy a new house. I looked up our son's school, Charlotte Anderson, to see how it ranks. I am sorry to admit that the last comment made about the school seem to be true. Many of the best teachers have left or were run off by the principal. We now have many inexperienced young teachers who seem more afraid of Mr. Beaird and his bizarre management style. We've heard that one teacher, a school favorite, was picked on continually until he left last year. I can personally vouch that he had been the best teacher our son ever had! We hear that the principal wants to move up the ladder to a middle or high school and eventually run a district. Unfortunately, he is apparently unhirable anywhere but MISD.

Our last child is at Charlotte Anderson right now. We have been involved for nearly 14 years and while we don't always see eye-to-eye with the newest principal, the teachers have always been a real blessing. Mrs. Brennan and Mr. Cowman have been family favorites.

My daughter absolutely loves CAE. Everyone there is wonderful, patient and they truly care about making a difference in each child's life. My daughter gets excited about going to school each day and even 2 weeks before summer was over, she was already asking when she could go back to school. The staff is wonderful and will do anything they can to help in any way possible to make the child and parent's experience memorable. Mrs. Richardson and Mrs. Duhamell are treasures and this year we have discovered the same about Mrs. Stevens. We love CAE!

My family has loved our time at Charlotte Anderson. Both kids have had wonderful teachers. The atmosphere isn't as friendly as it once was, but it still is a wonderful group of teachers. Mrs. Richardson is terrific and Mr. Cowman makes even the most uninterested child LOVE school!

This is our first year at CAE and it has been fantastic so far going into the winter break. My daughter is in 1st grade and has been doing exceptionally well and I think we owe a lot of it to her teacher. I'm glad there are alot of PTA and Dad Club events that take place and the pricipal is very involved in the school and with the students.

My daughter attends Charotte Anderson and just graduated from PreK. My daughter enjoys school and I have noticed improvement in use of words. I am very impressed by the care and attention that Ms Faustion puts into her class. Thanks Ms Faustino and Ms Young!

I have two children that attended Anderson by choice. Although the demographics changed significantly this year, the qualitiy of the education received did not. Teachers worked harder to meet all student needs dispite challenges with behavior issues. The PTA stepped up with new leadership and continued to provide family nights that were amazing. Blending 2 student climates seemed challenging, but all involved, from the teachers, to the parents, to the students, now see one united color- Viking Purple!

I have to disagree with the last parent comment. I am on my 2nd child to go through this school. I have never been treated with anything but kindness and respect from the teachers and the staff. They are more than willing to go the extra mile to accommodate ANY students needs. It doesn't matter if you child is Green, Brown, Purple, Black, or White they will do everything to make your child successful and they have the test scores to prove it.

My daughter went from 1st to 5th grade at CAE, and now my granddaughter is attending. She has finished PreK and Kindergarten, and is now going into the 1st grade. My daughter got an excellent education here. Now my granddaughter, who is 6, is reading books at about a 3rd grade level. One of the main things that is keeping me at my current address is the fact that we are in the Mansfield school district. Thanks to Ms. Faustino, Ms. Brown and Ms. Richardson for providing my children with a top-notch education. Thanks to Mr. Beaird for his tremendous leadership as principal. We are looking forward to another great year of learning and advancement with Ms. Stark at Charlotte Anderson Elementary.

My daughter absolutely loves this school! She has completed K-3rd and is looking forward to her 4th grade year. Extremely high parental involvement, fabulous caring teachers and a wonderful academic program make this school a hard act to follow for any other school we attend. Thank you Charlotte Anderson for such a wonderful experience!

Wonderful school! Our children have had an amazing educational experience with wonderful teachers! Hats off to Ms. Deil, Mrs. Duhamell, Mrs. Bernard and Mrs. Bradford. They have not only shown what wonderful teachers they are, but also what caring individuals they are when it comes to our precious children. Mr. Baird is a wonderful principal and very involved with the kids. Parent involvement is extremely high! We moved to this area to be within Anderson's boundries because of the reputation of this wonderful school!

Charlotte Anderson is an amazing school. The parent volunteering percentage is phenominal! The teachers really care and enjoy loving your children. The principals just rock! Our PTA is the best, and we just continue to thrive even more each year. The level of education that my children bring home is awesome!

My grand children began school mid year at Charlotte Anderson Elementary and were behind the average in their respective classes K and 4th. We were warmly welcomed by staff, administration and teachers. In just 4 short months the boys were brought up to average and greatly enjoy the Charlotte Anderson experience. These kiddos cant wait to get out the door to school in the morning. We enjoy the learning process and the after school activities.

Anderson is an excellent school. It has a strong parental support. During my son's five years there it was rated exemplary by the state every year. Dr. Tammy Rountree has left to become an assistant superintendant in Keller. However, I think the community will sustain the program.

We were foster parents to our son at first, and the school excepted him with open ares! This is a wonderful school! My son attended first grade with Mrs. Duhamell. Hat's off to Mrs. D! She took the time to work with him one on one. He went from a 0 reading level to a level 4 in only a few short weeks. My son's kindergarten teacher was Mrs. Williams. Hat's off to Mrs. Williams too! She also worked trial and error with our soon who is diagnosed ADHD. She worked through issues of puking everyday to just sending a note home saying he finally sang in class. The IEP program at this school is by far one of the best we have ever seen. We have since moved from Texas, but if I had one suggestion to any parent moving into Texas, buy a home in this school's district!

This elementary school is exemplary in every aspect. I have who started and finished elementary here and another who has been there for 3 years. The staff is great to work with, I feel they try to make sure the education they provide helps each child excell to their greatest potential. We are moving, so I hope that we are able to find this in our new school district.

This is the best elementary school in MISD. Not only do we have teachers who go above and beyond for their students, but the parent involvement is outstanding. Not many schools can boast that every student passed the reading TAKS taken in 2003! That is extraordinary. Although every school may have one or two teacher issues, this school rarely does and when concern is expressed, the issues are addressed and resolved. So glad to have a 1st and 3rd grader continue their education there.

Average school. We had a terrible time with a kindergarten teacher who insists my child has problems. Talked to other parents and stated that they were told by said teacher that their child had problems as well. One parent was told by this teacher to not come to school as often - scary!
