After teaching at Wooldridge for more than 12 years I can say that it has only improved over the past decade. With the new principal there have been some changes that will take some time to show results, but in general Wooldridge is a top Austin School. Students have always done well on the writing tests and lately there has been a big push to improve science scores. Reading scores and math score have been improving also. You can send your child to this school knowing that they will be well educated and that the teachers care about the student's best interest. I have not noticed any gang activity. If anyone has witnessed this it is perhaps something they need to shared with school staff or law inforcement.
Wooldridge is a very pleasant school. They seem to challenge my kids into brighter bigger things. There is one problem I see in the elder grade levels, there is a lot gang activity, however I only see that in 5th and 4th grade area. I think that if you have a child that has not so great behavior and is in the elder grades I do not think Wooldridge is the right school.
great school has all music art facility
