I sub in this school district. It is a good school. They are working on making things better. They don't have as many discipline problems as some of the area small schools that I sub for. Academically they are working on getting better. From last year to this, I see more TAKS prep going on. They are very strong readers! The AR program is tops there! The students at all grade levels are encourage to bring AR book to all classes and use 'free' time for reading!
I attended Blum for 4 yrs and now my daughter goes there. The classes being small makes it great for alot of one on one interaction with the teacher. Ms. Williamson, one of the K teachers, is the best around. She pushes the kids to learn alot more then most K teachers so that when they get into 1st grade they don't struggle. The principal is firm but fair with the children. Blum is a great school if you want your children to get the very best education out there.
