I love Commerce High! Since Virdie Montgomery took over as Prinicpal students actually exhibit more pride and leadership in our school. I transferred in from a small school out of my district and I have never been happier and have achieved more with the help of our Principal and teachers. I have great friends and wonderful support from my parents as well. You rock CHS!

its a great school and I found the support needed from teachers and the director....the only bad thing:if student want to join any athletic sport they need to take the physical education...some transfered student dont needed but they cant enroll them in any athletic team bec they are not taking the ph.education class

I've been a student at Commerce High for going on my fourth year now. I've had my diffrences with the school board and many policies including Dress Code and discipline issues but overall it has been a good school. As far as music we have one of the best Band Directors in the the area. The Art department is good as well as the Drama department. Commerce does well in many sports including making it to State with football in 2000 and making it to district every year after. Extracurricular activites are also good.

I agree with the other reviewer, that football is given way too much emphasis, however the school leadership is the worst. Scholorships are given to students whose parents are friends of the councelor or principal rather than to students that really deserve them. The school has few qualified professionals to really motivate students or help them with problems.

Football is given too much money and the football players are allowed to get away with murder. they need to start drug testing all athletics, football players in particular.
