Waking up every morning knowing that I have to go to Corsicana High school makes me contemplate suicide. You don't have to do much to become a criminal there. Just forget to wear a belt around your khaki slacks, and you're in School Suspension the entire day. Do it ten times and you go to disciplinary school (which isn't much different from CHS.) Oh and kids, you can forget about self-expression. CISD staff have a superiority complex. It's not about 'too many people breaking the rules' it's control. And that whole BS about 'we're just trying to raise you kids to be professionals' is just a load. If they really cared about treating us like adults, they'd trust us to not come to school wearing our pants around our ankles instead of making us dress like Bill Gates. Screw it, I'd rather have a GED.

This school has a lot of problems. There are some good teachers that really care, but on the other hand there are more that don't . And yes some classes do show movies instead of teaching. It is a known fact. Also the school seems to be more concerned with dress code violations and policing the children instead of making sure they receive a proper education. Overall as a parent I feel that we need to revamp starting at the top and hire professionals to do a professional job and educate our children.

I think this School is aweful! It needs to include parents not Exclude them from finding out what their Child is doing! If this school would be more friendly to the parents of their students its drop out level would be less, and they would have more parent participation, nor very many parents care because the school locks them out! I hav had 2 children in this school and one graduates this year!

I teach at this school and this is against policy. I am not sure what class this was in, and I find it really hard to believe that this was taken place. This is my first year in this district and a week does not go by with out a walk through to ensure that all students are engaged in learning. I have taught for 15 years and wish my children would have graduated under this leadership. I can not comment what took place years before, but I find it really hard to believe that any core class would be allowed to show movies or TV series unless it related to the subject matter.

The school is really doing a great job this year. All we lack is consistency with discipline. There are some great new faces that seem to care a the educaiton of my children, and some that really need to find another job or retire. Overall, we still have a lot of work left, but I believe we can do it.
