I have 2 daughters attending Keith and this is our 2nd year there. The culture here is quite condescending and aggressive. My kids hate going to school here. Here are some examples of what you can expect: 1.) 2nd Grade, McmeekinGarza, a constant yeller and dictator. Don't be fooled by the Disney decor, she is no princess. She is trigger happy on consequences, public shaming and she is down right rude. At back to school night she told us all about how she would control her kids, if she had them. Typical display of professional immaturity and on a genuine power trip. 2.) The PE program. If your child isn't a strong jogger then they must be lazy. At least, that is what the teacher will call them if they get a 7. Seriously... my youngest is 7 yrs old. Jogging is not her strength but maybe you could help her develop it rather than humiliate her and discourage her? I know, crazy talk. 3.) Communication in general is lacking. I have sent various notes and emails over the years and a response is unlikely. However be prepared to be reminded how important it is for you to be responsive at all times - just don't expect it in return. 4.) Windowpane math? Omg what an awful concept. For positives, the music teacher is the best I have ever seen. He is so funny and effective. Principal Fisher seems very genuine and i believe she does her best everyday. If i had any choice, i would not send my kids here. Life is hard enough and this world is so full of negativity that we don't need to make it worse. Build the kids up, teach kindness by example and let them explore their creativity.

I had both of my daughters graduate from Keith Elementary and they both had a great experience, it is the Best school they went to, the Principal definitely rewards the students, one of my children was a Principal for 1 day and she talked wanders about Mrs. Fisher. I certain HIGHLY recommend this school.

We just moved here from the Washington Dc area three months ago. My daughter, who has ADHD and is in the third grade has a teacher at Keith that makes the children sign "THE BOOK" every time they forget their HW or are talking or other infractions. My daughter often does these things because of her ADHD. I am outraged at the public shaming of having to go up and "SIGN THE BOOK".

There are lots of hands on learning activities for the students. The teachers are very caring and encouraging to all of their students.

This is our 2nd year at Keith and the principal, office staff, and teachers have made it the best place in so many ways. They work above and beyond to love our kids, keep them safe, and give them the best education. We are so proud and thrilled that our kids are in such good hands with the focus on the kids with all that they do!

The new principal and vice-principal were disorganized during an inclement weather situation that had a lot of parents upset when trying to pick up their own children and keep them off the bus. Aside from that the staff, nurse, front desk personnel are all wonderful, and so are the teachers!

CFISD & Keith Elementary is more worried about 'leaving no child behind' and their test score ratings than actually providing a well-rounded education for our children. The assistant principles and the teachers need to praise the children more often. Of course you have a select few that are wonderful and then you have bad apples in the bunch. The school is clean and very nice.

We love Keith Elementry! The teacher have always been really great, the curriculum is sometimes challenging but also rewarding. My child has been able to work well with others and teachers are great in evaluating strengths and weaknesses and working to improve both for classes and students. I highly recommend this school.

We moved to Cy-Fair for the schools and Keith has not let us down. Teachers as well as the principal show genuine care for the students. Hope to send my other two boys when they are of age.

The teachers are supportive, dedicated, and hard working. The principal offers no praise or recognition for anything positive that either the teachers or children do. There seems to be a lack of consistency with discipline also. The teachers do all that they can when there is a problem with a child, however the administration does not always back them .

The teachers are wonderful at providing quality academic curriculum and programs. It is a surpisely large percentage of parents that are very much involved in activities. But, the Principal leadership needs training because their is a need for culture diversity in hiring for the Upper Adminstration and Teachers to reflect the entire student body population.
