I went here, and i think it's fantastic. I attended, Alex W. Spence TAG Academy afterwords, and now attend the Highschool For Health Professions at Townview Magnet. The teachers are really involved, and it definitely prepares you for academies and magnet schools in the future. You learn to be creative, and actually develop good friendships there. I met my best friends there 7 years ago we're still very close.

Poor quality of academic programs. Parents involvedment only with 'problem' students. Poor leadership and bias from principal. Many extracurricular activities, but not sports.

This school is great! All teachers are so involved with the children and actually take such a focus based approach will each and every child. They have different programs that keep our children busy all of the school year.

Polk is a fantastic place for academically gifted and artistically minded children. The faculty in the TAG program is top notch. Also unique to this elementary facility is the music program, which makes available piano, orchestra, band and choir. This school should be a first choice for musically gifted kids at the elementary level.
