We have a 1rst grader at this school in the dual language program. We've been extremely pleased with the school and it's program. The parent and teachers are engaged. The principal focuses on programs to improve the school. The classrooms have high tech features. The teachers are engaged and dedicated. We have an active PTA which does fund-raising to help the library, classroom tools, special programs such as internet learning tools and Sky ranch for the 5th graders.
Very good school. Teachers and staff have very high expectations for the children and I think thats awesome. They are very helpful and will notify you if there is any kind of concern and offer ways to help. They really go that extra mile. Thanks This school is HIGHLY recommended in opinion.
Our family has been at Kramer for 6 years now and it has been a very positive experience! The teachers are wonderful and challenge each student to set and reach their individual goals. Many of the faculty hold advanced degrees and go the extra mile to bring creativity and hands-on learning into the classroom. The extra-curricular opportunities for students are amazing~ students can participate in music, art, drama computers, Destination Imagination, strings orchestra and Spanish. The school athletics program is awesome...kids can begin participating on teams in Pre-K! PTA is strong and parents are very involved in supporting the school. Principal has shown great leadership and really cares about the success of the school and the students.
My kids love this school! The teachers are caring and create a fun learning environment. The school is clean and well run and every room is equipped with the latest technology.
my son was in diffrent school, then we moved to the arae that assigned this school, we been with this school for 2yrs now, i can so nothing but everything is perfect
I am proud to have my children at Kramer Elementary School. They have had excellent teachers each year. The teachers go the extra mile for all children. I am amazed at how they are able to assist students who have unique needs while they offer challenging opportunities for the high achieving students. Although the leadership changed 2 1/2 years ago, the school has continued to improve. Do not hesitate to consider sending your child to Kramer!
I have two children who attend Kramer. Each year, the school continues to out-preform from the previous year. In the past 5 years, the school and PTA have raised funds to complete a $150,000 playground and principal's courtyard expansion, provide$10,000 in Smart Board technology, and provide every teacher with a comprehensive 'wish list' of items. The students are challenged to be smart and learn, while having fun. Kramer is a unique public school serving a diverse background. It is 'cool' to be smart at Kramer which is proven by the high awards received at District and Regional academic, math and chess competitions. Kramer is also one of the few elementary schools which fields soccer and basketball teams for both boys and girls beginning in kindergarten.
I have two daughters attending Kramer and they are excited and happy about going to school every day. They make good grades because Kramer's teachers have an amazing ability to challenge those students who demonstrate increased potential, while simultaneously encouraging and meeting the needs of students who are developing the skills necessary to do the same. Our principal, Melanie Potts, understands the importance of providing after school programs (Spanish, chess, karate, math club, student newspaper, etc.) and focused 'specials' classes (art, PE, computers, science, music)which complement the classroom curriculum and enhance daily learning. Interested students also have the ability to participate in choir, orchestra, piano, or TAG programs as part of their weekly schedule. Kramer parents understand that our children will have a better, more productive educational experience when we make time to assist teachers, organize schoolwide events, and help create a safe and happy environment for students. Truly a fabulous school.
Kramer is an outstanding elementary school! The quality of academic programs is outstanding. Kramer offers a science lab, computer lab, music, art, Karate, chess club, & may more. Every child is given the greatest of attention from wonderful teachers. Parents can be involved at many levels, we have a very active PTA, Dad's Club and welcome every parent to partner in our Kramer community. I have two boys, one in Kindergarten and one in 1st grade in the Mixed Age program. We left private school to move to Kramer and have been thrilled ever since. Kramer has exceeded our expectations! Come in and visit Principal Potts for a tour, you will be glad you did!
Although Kramer's teachers have a lot of heart, their leadership is lacking. teachers and staff, who are the real movers and shakers of the campus, deserve a big round of applause for their Herculean efforts to provide education for one and all, while maintaining a deep caring for the welfare of their students.
Hello, my kids just started here at Kramer and the only thing that I do not like that the classes are mixed with different grades. I personally think that 2nd graders need to be with 2nd graders and 1st graders need to 1st graders because they are all on different levels, so how are the teachers able to focus on this one grade and then step over into the next grade group. I that is neglect and I know it is because my child already knows how to add and subject so and she is in 2nd grade so why is my 1st grader bringing home the same work as she is in 2nd grade? Outside from that the faculty is really nice and parent oriented. But I think the mixed classes should be changed.
Excellent school with great teachers and wonderful after school programs.
I think that parent involvement is not an option for parents of the children that are attending this school but mandatory. The principal was bias. I was up at the school on a consistent basis and immediately I noticed poor performance to staff.
This is our neighborhood school. We live in the Janmar area of Dallas. This is a solid elementary which prepares the students for both public and/or private middle school. The teachers are good, but young and need more experience. With time and if left in place, they will some day be wonderful. Must keep a good principal in place for any good school to develope.
Our daughter just finished kindergarten at Kramer this year. We cannot say enough positive things about this school! We have been 'blown away' by her progress both academically and socially. Her kindergarten teacher was absolutely top-notch. The principal, Kyle Richardson, is an outstanding leader with extraordinary vision. I have never been to the school without seeing him out in the hallways doing little things to improve the school even more. The level of parent involvement in the PTA and the Dad's Club is impressive as well. Check out Kramer! You will be impressed.
I recently transferred my son to Kramer and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. The Principal, Kyle Richardson is supportative, hands-on and knowledgeable. He is also accessible and easy to talk to. Any minor problems/concerns that I have had were handled promptly. My son's teachers are outstanding; I can't say enough good things about them. The orchestra teacher even spent several weeks tutoring my son after school when he fell behind the rest of the class. The whole atmosphere of the school is happy and positive; my child is happy and positive with a renewed love of learning. We love Kramer!
The principal, Kyle Richardson is a smart and supportive man. He knows most kids by name and always takes the time to discuss whatever is important. Most of the teachers are knowledgeable and really care about their students. A majority also helps out with after care programs and/or tutoring. Kramer is an excellent, multicultural environment for any child.
