Irvin is an amazing school that has wonderful students and staff. Despite all the bad rumors, Irvin is a great place to learn and to teach. I love it there and im glad im studying there.

Irvin HS does a tremendous job with getting the students involved and keeping them involved. The principal has an excellent relationship with the students which helps in making the students feel wanted and appreciated at Irvin. Irvin has gone through some dramatic changes over the years and it is now truly a blue collar school, which makes getting parental involvement somewhat harder than other high schools in the community. Despite the lack of parental involvement the students come to realize the importance of being involved with their school and community and work very hard in instilling Rocket pride throughout the entire student body. Their are excellent teachers and administrators at Irvin and the AVID program provides many students with the learning tools needed for continuing their education at the next level.
