Had the worst experience with the front office staff. They are unfriendly and unwilling to give thorough explanations. First experience in SISD and not very pleased. Visited other campuses and everyone seemed happy to be at work serving the community!

I was a student at this school and enjoyed myself very much. I recently moved out of state but i just want to say that Horizon Heights is an amazing school. My teachers were, Mrs.C.Gomez, Ms.Rosales, and Mrs. Gardea. These 3 teachers are amazing. I had soo much fun in 5th grade with Mrs.Gardea she is a incredibble teacher thats why our class got 100% passing in all three subjects of the TAKS test. So as a former student of HHE. Overall I loved that school!

I think if they knew the school would be adding the 5th grade back to the horizon elementary, it seems they would have added more portables so new kids would not have to be going to another school, and from there home school. I really don't think the kids learn anything anyway, the schools in el paso is more worried about the teks test then teaching the kids what they really should be learning

For new parents looking for excellent, caring, devoted and wonderful teachers for your first or fifth grader I would recommend Mrs Cox and Mrs Lindeman who I could never say enough great things about. These teachers made the 05-06 school year the best since we arrived here in TX. These 2 ladies are without a doubt class acts who are truly there for the children.

I have been very involved in Horizon Heights for the past three years. I have two children who attend Horizon Heights and both until now have been taught by well prepared teachers. I have noticed several changes through the years since I've started volunteering for my children's school. One has been the administration, Mr. Ricardo Damian, Principal is very committed to Horizon Heights I have witness he arrives at 6:30 a.m. and at times leaves at about 5:00 or 6:00 p.m. He is always outside in the mornings supervising the security of our children and greets the parents with a pleasant smile. Mr. Damian, treats his students with respect and encourages parents to get involved in school activities. Horizon Heights School does have its ups and downs but overall is a school I would recommend to other parents. Horzion Heights still needs improvements such as parking issues and other school issues.
