Loma Terrace Elementary School 2

This school has a ton of potential to be great academically and for it's athletic programs as well. It is not the case however due to the principal. She looks for every little thing to get the kids in trouble and to write out another referral rather than focusing on improving their test scores and grades. She also looks to get rid of programs which she can use as incentive for kids to raise their grades such as flags and basketball. I love the school as I am an alumni myself but the principal has got to go. Arrogance and Ignorance are not traits I look for in my principal and you will find both in her. Just time for her to go before she destroys the confidence and moral of more students.

I am extremely grateful for my sons basketball coach. He does such a great job with my son in developing confidence even as my son is still trying to learn the game. Him and Mr. Fernandez do a great job building the basketball program. Coach Jason does everything he can for the boys and I have even witnessed him put money in for the program when the school refuses to do so or even does not even allow him to use the basketball gym.

The staff is pretty much divided in being effective and be ineffective. As your kid progresses you just hope they get a good teacher.

I feel the basketball coach really does a great job in this area. I am not to sure how the school aids in this but I do know the other basketball coach who used to coach the girls did an excellent job at this as well. Both do a great job in teaching them hard work and determination.

The community around the school and select staff really try to develop friendly and genuine good kids.

There is staff that looks to develop the students into honorable young people however some of the staff looks to get kids into trouble for any little reason. There is just a need for a total rehire and analysis of staff at the school. They should be rewarded for good grades and high test scores rather than who can give out the more discipline reports and referrals.

Horrible principal, mainly illiterate, no good for school. She is very disrespectful, and thinks she knows what she's talking about.

My daughter, for being smart enough and strong enough, to understand at such a young age that her mother is using her as a pawn, instead of treating her as a human being.
