Solid academic program. Great counselor! Weak in music and art. Fair band program...some art instruction. Strong sports program. Parent involvement not noted.

Elkhart High School has been a great school for my daughter who is now 16. She has been in Elkhart Shcools since her 5th grade year. Academic programs/teachers are excellant, always willing to stay late and help the kids with any difficulties they may be having. My daughter has been involved the the athletics program since she started that school. She excelled in the pole vaulting program, she won district title 2 years in a row, and went on to regional tryouts 1 year. Although the school does well in athletics, I dont believe that the coaches were as involved with her progress as they should have been. Parent involvement is huge at this school, the stands are always full of cheering parents as well as aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters. All in all, a very nice place for any child to recieve an excellant education.

I have been associated with EISD for over 14 yrs. The teachers all highly qualified, the principals caring, and the superintendent involved not only with the staff but the kids at all levels. New ideas have thrown our district into the lead above other schools. Many other districts from all over come to see why EISD is such a successful school district. I am proud to be the parent of a current Elkhart Elk and also a graduate of EHS as well.

From what I know the school is a very good school to attend. I am glad to only hear good things about the school and nothing more.
