Farmersville High School has made significant improvements in the last two years. The new principal has increased the emphasis on academics over previous years. No longer does it just matter how students do athletically. There has been a lot of teacher turnover in the last two years, but it has been a positive as most of the new teachers are better classroom teachers than the previous faculty. School discipline is good and students know what is expected of them. I have a child who is a student there and feel he is getting a good education. All in all, I feel Farmersville High School is on the right track and moving forward.

I went to school here from 2003 to 2006 and there were very few teachers that acutally taught me things that i remember to this day. If you're in athletics you get away with alot. The principal at the time was great but now i would have to say the principal they have now is horrible. I really hated going to that school which is why i didn't graduate from there. I have a child now and I am NOT putting her in Farmersville schools whenever it comes time for her to start school.

While this school does have some very hardworking and dedicated teachers, the majority seems to be unconcerned with the subject at hand. The budget is overly focused on athletics, and other extracurriculars must fight for school support.

We moved here 6 years ago without checking out the schools. There are some dedicated teachers, but mostly either young and immature or older and burnt out, waiting for retirement. As in most small towns, there is a core group that shines. They get all the attention and their parents make all the decisions.
