This school should be a model for other schools in the way it is ran. I am a parent of children at a different school but have subbed here quite a few times and love what I have seen. (Many times thoughout my life I have seen several schools first-hand, not just from subbing.) The thing I think that makes the biggest difference is the up-beat personable meeting in the morning by the principal to interact with the students daily. Music is played, students are acknowledged for birthdays, & individually for doing good. A teacher introduces a couple jokes that students have submitted & it is such a positive experience to see everyone coming together each morning before they start their day together. I have seen that it carries over into the classroom where students are ready to learn, participate & get along. The teachers are very passionate and able to keep control by engaging the students..ie: in the hallway when they need them focused for a few minutes they have a rhythm of counting by 5's etc & the kids love it & learn from it & they are not left to look for distractions during that few minutes. I've only had good experiences here!!
