I took my child out of this school because she was being bullied and the teachers and staff refused to do anything about it. This school is almost completely hispanic and that makes it hard for any other races to fit in.

Alice Contreras is a good school, the teachers are caring and supportive, and they even have a parents as teachers class for younger siblings ages 0-4. That said, there is room for improvement. Parent notification is slow and often late, and information seems to be at a minimum. The school is not very diverse, and, sometimes, English seems to be the secondary instead of primary language. I do like the school, it is small and gives the feeling of being more personal.I wish there were more extracurricular activities, my child likes to be kept very busy.I do think Alice Contreras has the potential to be a 'great school'.

Our daughter has excelled at Alice Contreras. The teachers are caring and capable. She is in the gifted and talented program and gets great support from teachers and administration. The school has great test scores.
