Our Savior Lutheran School is an excellent choice. We have three daughters, one that has graduated from OSL and two that are still attending Our Savior Lutheran. This is wonderful place to educate your child, and grow them up in a Christian community. From the early childhood preschool classes all the way through 8th grade, you will find dedicated, caring, Christian teachers who truly make a difference in the lives of their students.

Before arriving at OSL in 5th grade I had already attended 5 different schools in 2 states and 2 countries. I was truly blessed to be able to find a home at OSL. The school and staff helped shape me into the man I am today. Many of those same teachers that helped teach me are still there today. OSL is a great community to be brought up in, these teachers really do care. I still teach out to them today for help. If you're looking for a school that will touch your child's mind, heart and life, OSL is that school

Growing up, my family moved a lot, and as such, I attended many different schools. When we moved to Houston, I was blessed enough to spend my 8th grade year at OSL. Throughout my school years I attended upwards of 8 different schools in multiple states and countries, and I can honestly say that my 8th grade year at OSL was the best school experience I had. My current success as a teacher is thanks in large part to the wonderful teachers I had at OSL. I would wholeheartedly recommend OSL to anyone looking for a great school, and/or church community.

Our Savior Lutheran School is a loving, caring community for children Preschool 3 - Grade 8. Two of my three children graduated from OSL. The youngest is still there. The classical Christian education is academically challenging, preparing children not only for high school, but also college. In addition to the academics, the love of Christ is shared in every aspect of the school day. OSL also offers a wide variety of extra -curricular activities. I would highly recommend OSL to anyone looking for a school for their Preschool through 8th grade children.

We had two children graduate from OSL School, with both starting in Middle School when we moved to Houston. We found the teachers to be true servant leaders, modeling Christian love and compassion, while shaping our children's minds to be critical thinkers, creative thinkers, able to learn without being "spoon fed" answers to regurgitate for test purposes. Epilog: both are now college graduates, having graduated with honors. As a parent, you always worry for your children and pray for them, and when you see them as young adults, making wise decisions, applying good judgment, walking by faith, and contributing positively to society, that's validation that our sacrifice to send them to OSL School was a wise and profitable investment. Without reservation I recommend OSL School for any parent who wants the best education possible for their children -an education that well prepares them for high school and beyond.

If these are Christians I don't want to be one. Going into this school was like landing on another planet. Very cold, judgement & rude. Fish stink from the head.

Let me start this review by stating that this really is a great school. I have other children in the school and they are exceeding expectations beyond what I though children can do. But this is a small, private, religious school. The teachers care but only have so much to give. The teachers are not equipped or educated on how to teach to these kids and there are no specialist hired to help. They rely on the parents to basically "home school" after they tried. I have to hire a tutor on top of the tuition and I'm still doing homework with my child till bedtime. And there is no support or counselors when it comes to helping my child socially. I feel they just don't understand my child and the struggles. I have seen many other families leave because the school cannot accommodate them.

So far we have nothing but praise for Our Savior Lutheran School. Our daughter has attended the school for two years now and we are very pleased with the faculty and staff as well as the level of education she is receiving. The school is a very warm and welcoming environment and they are instilling great Christian values in our child along with challenging her academically each and every day. I would highly recommend the school to any family seeking a great education for their child that comes with good Christian values.

I have three children who have attended OSL, one still there. The oldest graduated from college receiving numerous leadership awards. The second oldest is attending the United States Naval Academy. It is my belief that the foundations to their success came through their education at OSL and the Lutheran High School they attended. I look forward to watching the youngest of the three grow through the same experience. In the upper grades they have four great Christian men who provide guidance hard to find in any school today.

This is our second year at OSL, and we love it! The teachers all care about the students and about teaching. I have no doubt that my children will graduate from OSL having received a wonderful education and ready for high school. The tuition is affordable, but more importantly the academics are phenomenal. There are plenty of options for athletics (soccer, softball, volleyball, basketball) and fine arts (band, choir, private lessons, group lessons, drama). You will find a wonderful school at OSL.

We have three kids at this school from 5th Grade to Kindergarten. The faculty is outstanding and genuinely cares for our kids and their students. It is small, but we love that. Latin is our daughter's favorite subject and they teach it through 8th Grade and our 3rd grader just started. We also love the Christian environment and commitment to academics. The athletic program is also great for our daughter who will get to play volleyball, basketball, and softball all this year. Tuition is very affordable too.

A wonderful family environment where children are surrounded with caring Christ filled teachers. Smaller class size allows for individual attention.

It's not for everybody! The school has a very good language arts and reading program, decent history, and is uninspired on the rest. Hyper-religious, conservative, not progressive, these people seem to all live in a very small world amongst each other. If your child is worldly, artistic, or truly smart as oppossed to spitting back learned information, look elsewhere. It's a culture that fits with athletic children who do not seek a lot of exposure to arts and different ways of thinking.

The worst days of my life were spent here. Due to the teachers, and the students. Please, do not send your children here, especially if you are not affiliated with their church. I was bullied by both students and teachers. A teacher, who still works there, once gave me a nickname of 'dung beetle', in front of my entire 8th grade class.

My daughter has been at OSL for two years, and she absolutely loves it. The teachers are awesome!!! They are committed to each and every child that walks in the door. Everyone that works there or sends their child their is so warm and welcoming. The principal is absolutely great!!! He know what is important to make a school strive!! I highly recommend OSL to anyone. Just drive in and look at its beautiful campus!! It is just wonderful to look at!!

OSL is absolutely the best school I have ever been to. The teachers are great and so is the education. They really know how to motivate students and teach us about God. I thank them for my wonderful experience.

I have two kids at OSL and it has been a wonderful experience. The academic standard is very high, and the kids are challenged to reach their full potential. The teachers and administration are very supportive of the kids and they are extremely in-tune to what is going on in and out of the classroom. I have no complaints whatsoever and would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for an excellent learning experience for their children.

We had two children attend Our Savior recently and I have to say it is a great school! We especially liked the commitment to high academic standards and the willingness to teach manners. Our children felt good about school not because their egos were stroked, but because they were challenged to achieve and perform beyond their expectations! And they did!

I am a former student at OSL, and I have to say that every year except my eighth grade year was great. Before eighth grade the teachers gave a balance of an hour to two hours of homework a night. In eighth grade they change the principal and other things. The current principal is very cheap, oblivious of school activities, and gives freedom to the teachers about how much homework they can give. Now my younger sibling is getting three to four hours of homework a night and I was getting the same amount also. In my eighth grade year my Latin grade dropped from an A to a C. Parents complained and students were stressed and angered. If you are looking for a fun and exciting school that your child will enjoy, I would not recommend OSL.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
