great school, loving caring teachers. They don't just teach education but integrity and moral character which means a lot to me.
This school is HORRIBLE! Please DO NOT send your children here. I can not begin to tell you how they are so unprofessional, money hungry and do not care about your child's education. I have seen them continue to take money from parents whose children are failing and just let them continue to fail. There is no athletic dept. NO PE but running around the school? No sports at all! The classrooms are in dark corridors, no proper lightening. Teachers just up and leave in the middle of the school year and you never know it as a parent and then they bring in uncertified, family members of the church staff to teach your child. I was there several years and I kept trying to hold on so that my son was in a safe, so called Christian environment, but once you start seeing that you are getting nothing but giving all that you can as a parent, even financially what you can't afford, it leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. No proper testing is done for your child! Please check things out FULLY and stay on top of everything before ever taking your child to this school Everything that claims to be Christian may not be. I walk away from this experience so saddened and hurt.
In my personal experience as a parent, I have watched my three children bloom in the daycare and preschool. They have been taught the ABEKA curriculum since they were 2 years old! My oldest, who has been diagnosed with autism-spectrum disorder, began expressing herself, writing, cutting, interacting with the other students, & following along during Bible scripture memorization in our Kindergarten class. If you've ever known an autism-spec kiddo, than you know that these are huge benchmarks. I believe the small student/teacher ratio and 16-year veteran teacher (all 16 years here!) has A LOT to do with her success. Come by and see us anytime, our school is an open book. We'd love to show you around and share a cup of coffee with you.
This school has improved every year and it has become an excellent school. 80% of graduates receive college scholarships. They offer extracurricular classes and activities, They accept foreign exchange students. And they have an excellent athletic program. Member of NCAA and a nationally accredited school.
I a very pleased with the results I have seen in the lives of my children. Christian Character is the most important aspect of a Christian school for me and I am pleased with this school's values.
I have had four children graduate from this school and I am very satisfied. One of my friends had three of his children graduate from this school. They don't give TASS or TASK because they are not required to even though they are an accredited school. Nearly 80% or their seniors receive college scholarships. All of my children attended college after leaving CLC Academy. I know of one doctor, one executive secretary and three NBA players that all graduated from this academy. I love the Christian Atmosphere and curriculum.
Very Impressive and happy that my kids go to a Christian schools where at least they have not lost the vision for humanity. God first above all things.
This is a wonderful school with high academics and strong Christian leadership. Last year the Basketball Team won the State Championship for their class category. More importantly, the team was noted for their excellent behavior and the Christian Leadership of the team members.
The quality of the school is excellent, with high academics being taught, an outstanding extracurricular program and good parental involvement.
It is a very easy school. My child was an a student there throughtout high school.
There is no special testing, such as taas or taks, there really are no extracirrucular activities, the parents are very involved. It has great potential but it just has not lived up to that yet. They are taking huge steps this summer by buying the new school building though. I would only send my child back in about 4 years.
Although it has been a school that has been established for a long time, they need more organization and order. There is alot of work that needs to be done, I cannot say it is an exemplarary school.
My husband and I just started my son in this school, and was wanting to obtain more inside scoop from other parents that have their children here. They have no record showing what their TAAS scores have been in the past, and I quite honestly don't have much information about the school. Just because one puts their children in a private school doesn't always mean that they are goiing to recieve the proper teaching. He is just turing 5, and I was even considering of having him in a public school, Deerwood, until he reached middle, and changing him from to a private school. Does anyone have any insight on this school.
