I have had children at Farine for 4 years. Both of my sons are in the dual language program. In fact, we moved to Irving because of this opportunity. The administration & staff at Farine have been nothing short of amazing. They are focused on teaching our kids to read, write & think. I was especially impressed when I asked my then 4th grader if he knew when the TAKS test was. He did not, even though it was only 2 weeks away. This told me that they were more focused on teaching my kid than on test scores/strategies, etc. I have always felt welcome and felt like the administration and staff were ready to work together, with me, to address any issues that have come up with my kids. I cannot recommend Farine highly enough. As I've read the reviews on this site, what struck me is how they have improved over the years. This is proof that the administration is working to make things better all the time. Do not hesitate to send your kids here. You won't regret it.

I have two daughters, both enrolled in the dual language program. Though there have been struggles, I have found that the administration and teachers have always been willing to work together to find a solution to any problems, with my children's best interest at heart. I would encourage any new parent to start their child in the dual language, it is really providing them with a great gift!!

My daughter has attended Farine since 3rd grade. She has always had wonderful teachers until she reached 5th grade. I am so glad this will be her last year there!

My daughter is in first grade and her second year in the dual language program. I am thrilled to have her learn a second language (Spanish) at such a young age. She is doing very well. Her teachers have been great working with my daughter as well as communicating with me as a parent. Overall, I have been pleased with her education at Farine.

Overall, my children have been very happy at Farine. The music, arts and humanities programs are outstanding. When we have had concerns, we received very strong support from the principals and counselors. My son has some unique mental challenges that can make it difficult for him to learn new tasks. The counselor has gone out of her way to guide us. With her help, my son has thrived here at Farine. We are deeply appreciative of all her efforts.

Farine Elementary is an awful school. My son who has always like school is at the point where he does not want to go school anymore. Zero Tolerance is unfortunately just a word at this school. If you can send your child somewhere else - do it. The only light in the dark is Ms. Medasani. She is a great teacher who has instilled a love for science in my son.

Not happy with this school. My kid enjoys music. Some teachers are very strict. And the school is not as clean and tidy as most Irving Schools. Nice Library.

My son attends Farine Elementary in Irving Texas, and I believe this school is a very good educational school. My son has really prospered at Farine since hes started there this year. I would recomend any parent to have their child attend Farine, because you would definitely get all the education you need to further your education.

When we placed our fifth grader in public school, I was somewhat relieved she would attend Farine. I went there as a child and remember the faculty as caring individuals who encouraged each child to do their best. Though faculty changed, the caring is still apparent. My only complaints- too much emphasis is placed on the state test and the children's attitudes. I have long believed that the knowledge needed for the tests should be incorporated into daily work, without specifying that the work is for TAKS. As for the attitudes of our children- we as parents are responsible. When getting parent involvement becomes difficult the children see it and interpret this as a reason not to care or participate in extracurricular activities. Farine is fine, which is a big step down from what it was. Those teachers who have been there for 20 years know what I mean.
