Just removed my child and placed her in private school. Best decision I ever made. Finally she's in a place filled with concerned, professional and competent teachers and administrators.
We moved here from rural West Texas. My son is so happy to have finally found a school that really cares about his education and success. From the principals- to the teachers and other staff. They all seem to give 100% to making sure my son felt welcome and accepted from day one.I am amazed at what an impact this school has already had in helping my son's self-esteem and future goal's change to nothing but positive.Thank You Beck!...with much gratitude from a new Beck parent
If you're looking for your child to be lost in an overcrowded mess of a school staffed by lazy and unresponsive teachers....search no more....this is the school for you!
When we relocated back to the Houston area we focused our home search in Katy because of our past positive experiences with KISD. In the years we were away from the area the system, at least as represented by Beck Junior High, completely degraded to a bureaucracy with interest and action aimed toward protecting a false reputation to the detriment of the education and well being of the students. While there was the occasional diamond in the rough, most of the teachers, counselors and administrators we dealt with were lazy, incompetent and intellectually and morally bankrupt. . Prior to this experience our children were honor students active in numerous extracurricular activities. For three years they dwindled in the KISD. In the few months that we have had them enrolled in private school, they have returned to their prior state of enthusiasm for school, they have returned to extracurricular activities and their grades and test scores have increased dramatically. Removing them from this school system was among the best things we have done for their future.
My point of view is that Katy ISD is one of the best and most challenging school district in the state if not in the country. Katy ISD has so many programs to help every student strive in there learning.
I am a student at Beck and I can say that we have a very good staff and the school cares about its students. The principle is a retired army officer. He knowes how to lead and keep up the moral of the students.
A nice clean school with good facilities and generally good staff. Very good band program and lots of extra curricular activities available. Only three stars due to the quality of the maths homework assignments, poorly worded questions and incorrect marking causes pupils a lot of confusion and greatly hampers there progress. Hopefully next year this will be sorted out and Beck can be awarded five stars.
My son recently transferred from a private church school in the memorial area. The staff at Beck is professional, helpful, and encouraging. We wasted thousands of dollars when we could have been at the area public schools. My son feels he is receiving a much better and in depth education than at the private school. Most of all, his self esteem has improved significantly being around teachers and administrators who believe in their students. We are pleasantly surprised.
The school has helped my son so much, it is great and sends a good amount of homework keeping students busy. :)
this school is the best school i have ever seen my chlid has improved so much from alief.katy is better than alief.katy is more safer and alief is not safe.
