My son attended another district's elementary before we moved to get him into Keene. While I agree, the office staff can be very rude, it is a good school. What they lack is being overly-nurturing. They care, but have high expectations for the children. Therefore, children learn structure, discipline, independence and are stronger and smarter for the experiences ahead. My son's current teacher is very sweet and caring but has her rules and enforces them. Schools don't get TEA recognized by coddling every child. They do need more special ed and gifted and talented resources but on average, they are WAY better than their neighboring districts.

Love this school, they care about the children and the parents. The elementary principal is the best. My children do great there uver thew past 3 years I have seen alot of great things happen here. The new building is one of them . There is one thing that needs to improve is help for special needs children and programs for gifted.

I could not agree more, I think this school really needs some work, the school has no structure and the teachers need more training. The teachers lack heart in caring for the kids and are unconcerned with the education of the children. Blame is laid on everyone but the ones who are responsible. The principle is unreachable 99% of the time. I have only spoken with the office staff acouple times but they are rude. They dont seem to have time to deal with parents. I have tried talking to the school about this but it has not changed.

My family and I have moved to many schools over the last few years and this is the worst school my children have ever been to. I am a proactive parent, I want to know whats going on in my childrens lives everyday. I want to be aware. I really try to be understanding of the goals of the teachers, but Im really starting to think that the teachers are only thinking about them self. I have been made to many promises by them, they want my child to remember to do something but they dont do it. I think that the school staff should be held to a higher standard. I feel this goes for most of the teachers but not all. The elementary off staff is very rude and not helpful. The school is very unorganized and not really concerned with each childs school path. Very bad School
