LOVED Mrs Palomino! Our kids had her for three of their years, and she was amazing. I was never concerned for either of our kid's welfare while they attended this school. The staff genuinely cared for them both, and you could feel it when you were on campus.

Timber Ridge is still a wonderful school. Yes, the administration has changed, but the new principal truly cares for each and every one of the students, and does what is best for them. Every. Single. Time. She is always there to speak with parents, and try to resolve any problems or concerns they have. She was even injured in a hail storm trying to save students walking home from getting hurt! Yes, rules have changed, yes, administrators have changed. People are resistant to change, but it isn't always a bad thing.

Timber Ridge used to be one of the very best around but things have changed. There is new administration and they have totally changed the climate of the school. Parents no longer feel welcome to be a part of their child's education, students are forced to "hug" themselves as they walk down the halls, and teachers are berated, spied on, demoralized, and talked down to. There has been a mass exodus of the very best teachers this year. I am afraid to see what the new year holds for a once great school.

My daughter has attended TRES for 2 years now and we absolutely love this school. The teachers are wonderful and caring. The school itself is clean and nice.

I have three kids and they have all gone to Timber Ridge. The school is very well managed and the students have a great opportunity to learn and have fun.

I am totally surprised that there are so few reviews on this school. My niece came to live with me a few years ago and this was the first school she attended as my ward. Because of her limited teaching in the past she was way behind the other students. In fact, she couldn't read at all when going to the second grade. The staff at Timber Ridge was incredible! Not only did they teacher her to read they helped to to excel. In the third grade she made the honor roll. I couldn't have chosen a better school for her to attend. Her years at Timber Ridge will never be forgotten! I want to thank each and every staff member that touched our lives and showed my niece how patience and understand can make a difference in a child's life!

My daughter is so happy here. I love the way Timber Ridge involves the parents and the surrounding community. I am happy with the teachers and staff. They seem to know every child by name and have a variety of great activities.

I have 2 high functioning autistic sons at Timber Ridge. My oldest is in 2nd grade TAG classroom. My youngest is in a 1st grade inclusion classroom. The teachers a wonderful. The administration is amazing. The true concern and desire for individual student progress is at the heart of this staff. My boys have grown so much here. My daughter will start Pre-K this coming year and I have complete confidence she will be successful. I initially thought the front staff was rude but once I got to know them, I realize that they are hard working and busy ladies. They are eager to help parents but they do forget to smile. Their facial expression doesn't always match their mood or intention.

My daughter has attended Timber Ridge for three years and our experience has been all positive. The teachers are excellent, qualified, and caring. The counselors, librarians, and nurse are extremely professional yet kind. My daughter always comes home smiling. Mr Coleman is very repectful and the students shine on his leadership. My daughter was identified TAG at a very early start and all the teachers and staff have supported the challenge. I will definitely allow her to return year after year, and anticipate her sibling to follow.

My twin daughters are in 2nd grade at TimberRidge. I personally have been very pleased with our first year at TR. I have great communication with their teachers by their aggenda books, email, and phone calls. They are both doing well acedemically (Both are honor roll students). The school offers many activites outside the class including a great PE dept, art, computer labs, music class...I believe they call these 'Special Instructional Times'. As a military family we were a little concerned that a civilian school would not be as sensitive to the special circumstances military children face...however, TR has a very large military population and are actually VERY sensitive to the specail circumstances our children face (deployments, frequet moves, etc.) Their PTA is very active and we have attended several special events hosted at the school by the PTA. Overall, so far we love Timber Ridge!

I was skeptic about transferring my child over to this school, because we had moved. I had my child in a very good school over at Cedar Valley Elementary and have only heard negative things about Timber Ridge Elementary and didn t really want to go on what everyone else is saying about the school until I see for myself. Well the school year has started and I can truly say that I should have listen to what the other parents was saying. The front office staff is very unfriendly and not helpful at all. I have left repeated message at the office to be passed on and it seems like nothing gets done, or it s a different story each time you call to inquire about a situation. I really wish I would have kelp my child over at Cedar Valley, because this school sucks so far.

This morning my husband, while at work recieved a phone call informing him that there would be an Awards Ceremony that morning and that my son would be receiving two awards. This is indictive of what we have experienced with this school. There is little to no effective communication between this school and parents. The front office personnel are extremely unreliable when it comes to getting accurate and timely information out to parents and are not helpful when you visit the school. The staff seems to not be familiar with their own procedures and often waste your time trying to figure out what needs to be done when questions or requests are given to them. Repeated requests are usually handled different each time you address the staff. And to top it all off, the staff is rude most of the time. Wish my kids did not have to attend this school.

My son is in kindergarten at Timber Ridge and myself and my husband are military. We are also Christians and raise our children to live the same Christian lifestyle. I was very adamant about moving my son when a few pitfalls happened at Timber Ridge with other students. After praying about it, God led me to let him remain at Timber Ridge. Since then, I have had very little to no problems. Overall, Timber Ridge is a very advanced school compared to other places in the area, including some of the Christian private schools. Thanks Timber Ridge for your spirit of family and nurturing. It will definitely be needed in the months to come as both myself and my husband deploys.

My son has gone to this school the past two years. We have loved it since day one. His teachers have been wonderful. I've also found the staff helpful. The school does very well academically. The kids come from mostly military backgrounds. The neighborhood is great. All around a wonderful school.

My child was in the 2nd grade here for the 2007-2008 school year the front office personnel are very rude. The lack of communication on the part of my child's teacher was horrible. We are considering not sending our child back to this school for the next school year and look at other options.

This school would be perfect if the front office staff would take a course in customer courtsy. Other then the unhappy faces you are greeted take a look behind them because the teachers are great and the new assistant principal is wonderful.

Office Staff is very rude but the teachers are nice. Academically I have no issues. Not enough Sports I think but all schools here are short on that. Parental involvement is lacking as well.

This is the second year our daughter has attended Timber Ridge. I am very impressed with the principal as well as most of the teachers. The academics are great and facility is wonderful. Being a military town, parent participation is normally good, but this at this school it has been wonderful.

I am very impressed with the experience of the principal and we have the best school counselor around! It is an excellent small size school with small teacher/student ratios and very approachable staff and volunteers are always welcome. Parents are allowed at the school with an open door policy and volunteering is encouraged. Any issues that we have had, we were able to take directly to the principal or teacher with great results. They are also aware of the military lifestyle and have a great peer group 'deployment' club for kids in all age brackets.

This school has some improvements to make. My main concern, is the lack of communication between parents and teachers.

Due to rezoning we found our son at a brand new school, Timber Ridge. I was not happy since he was already attending Mountain View however, it has turned out rather well. There is a low student/teacher ratio which allows my son to get one-on-one time with his teacher. Since he's above his grade level in reading, she makes sure he gets chapter books to read and allows him to help others in his class which promotes a sense of well being for him. He's very proud to help his classmates. The Music and Arts programs are great and helps to enhance my child's education. Parent involvement is up to par here at Timber Ridge and I am extremely proud to have my child attend this new elementary school!
