I have 2 high functioning autistic sons at Timber Ridge. My oldest is in 2nd grade TAG classroom. My youngest is in a 1st grade inclusion classroom. The teachers a wonderful. The administration is amazing. The true concern and desire for individual student progress is at the heart of this staff. My boys have grown so much here. My daughter will start Pre-K this coming year and I have complete confidence she will be successful. I initially thought the front staff was rude but once I got to know them, I realize that they are hard working and busy ladies. They are eager to help parents but they do forget to smile. Their facial expression doesn't always match their mood or intention.

My daughter has attended Timber Ridge for three years and our experience has been all positive. The teachers are excellent, qualified, and caring. The counselors, librarians, and nurse are extremely professional yet kind. My daughter always comes home smiling. Mr Coleman is very repectful and the students shine on his leadership. My daughter was identified TAG at a very early start and all the teachers and staff have supported the challenge. I will definitely allow her to return year after year, and anticipate her sibling to follow.

My daughter spent two years at Timber Ridge Elementary. It was a very positive experience. The teachers went above and beyond to accomodate her needs. It is an excellent school with excellent teachers and Mr. Coleman is an amazing principle who genuinely care about the kids education. For the people who wrote less than positive reviews...I am guessing your kids probably got in trouble a lot or just didn't care...the academic record of this school shows how good it really is. I am sad to have to move my daughter to another state and away from Timber Ridge,

My twin daughters are in 2nd grade at TimberRidge. I personally have been very pleased with our first year at TR. I have great communication with their teachers by their aggenda books, email, and phone calls. They are both doing well acedemically (Both are honor roll students). The school offers many activites outside the class including a great PE dept, art, computer labs, music class...I believe they call these 'Special Instructional Times'. As a military family we were a little concerned that a civilian school would not be as sensitive to the special circumstances military children face...however, TR has a very large military population and are actually VERY sensitive to the specail circumstances our children face (deployments, frequet moves, etc.) Their PTA is very active and we have attended several special events hosted at the school by the PTA. Overall, so far we love Timber Ridge!

I was skeptic about transferring my child over to this school, because we had moved. I had my child in a very good school over at Cedar Valley Elementary and have only heard negative things about Timber Ridge Elementary and didn t really want to go on what everyone else is saying about the school until I see for myself. Well the school year has started and I can truly say that I should have listen to what the other parents was saying. The front office staff is very unfriendly and not helpful at all. I have left repeated message at the office to be passed on and it seems like nothing gets done, or it s a different story each time you call to inquire about a situation. I really wish I would have kelp my child over at Cedar Valley, because this school sucks so far.

This morning my husband, while at work recieved a phone call informing him that there would be an Awards Ceremony that morning and that my son would be receiving two awards. This is indictive of what we have experienced with this school. There is little to no effective communication between this school and parents. The front office personnel are extremely unreliable when it comes to getting accurate and timely information out to parents and are not helpful when you visit the school. The staff seems to not be familiar with their own procedures and often waste your time trying to figure out what needs to be done when questions or requests are given to them. Repeated requests are usually handled different each time you address the staff. And to top it all off, the staff is rude most of the time. Wish my kids did not have to attend this school.

My son is in kindergarten at Timber Ridge and myself and my husband are military. We are also Christians and raise our children to live the same Christian lifestyle. I was very adamant about moving my son when a few pitfalls happened at Timber Ridge with other students. After praying about it, God led me to let him remain at Timber Ridge. Since then, I have had very little to no problems. Overall, Timber Ridge is a very advanced school compared to other places in the area, including some of the Christian private schools. Thanks Timber Ridge for your spirit of family and nurturing. It will definitely be needed in the months to come as both myself and my husband deploys.

My son has gone to this school the past two years. We have loved it since day one. His teachers have been wonderful. I've also found the staff helpful. The school does very well academically. The kids come from mostly military backgrounds. The neighborhood is great. All around a wonderful school.

My child was in the 2nd grade here for the 2007-2008 school year the front office personnel are very rude. The lack of communication on the part of my child's teacher was horrible. We are considering not sending our child back to this school for the next school year and look at other options.
