We are reasonably new to the school district. Having at least two years under my belt, i can say that the school officials and teachers have been outstanding. Parent involvement however is a crucial factor in any problems that are in the system. The schools are working on a x-treme low budget so parent volunteers are relied on to unburden the load. It doesn't work because they're are so many unreasonable and absurd behaviors in many parents that have more control than should be allowed. Like a lot of schools, parenting abilities factor in to the quality of the student body, and then you have the trickle down effect burdening the staff and teachers.
My children have been going to the Lago Vista schools for only one year now, but I have seen good improvement in their grades and attitudes. Tracy H.
Very poor administration. Unresponsive to parental input. Handful of exceptional teachers, other than that, students aren't challenged.
Teachers need to give more examples to their studends. Let students have fun what their doing so they won't sleep in class.
