I have had a son that go Bill Burden Elementary and have been very pleased. He seemed to thrive at the school and is doing well academically. I really like the fact that has performing arts, music and PE as part of the daily curriculum, especially because we came from California and they didn't have over there. The teachers are caring, fun and seem to truly enjoy their jobs. Most of the parents help being volunteers in the school events and daily activities. My son loves going here. I highly recommend this school!!!

I moved here for the great schools, but was left disappointed with this school. Every single time I visit for lunch or volunteer on campus, the staff are yelling at the students, even when kids are doing exactly what they were asked to do. I think it's way too militaristic the way they treat the children. Granted, we have had a few AMAZING teachers here...but there seems to be a general problem with staff/student interactions. They may have high test scores here, but that's not the end goal for me- I want kids who love to learn, not just kids who can memorize testing strategies. I'm also really disappointed with the severe lack of enrichment activities- art and music class are only once a week, and there are no after-school clubs or activities to participate in. I've volunteered several times to run different clubs for the school, with zero response. I think this campus really could improve in this area.

Great vice principle and teachers. Principle is not the warmest person but she does with the wonderful help of her great vice principle to keep the school above average compared to LH elem and intermediate school

I love the school and teachers, etc enough to rateit 5 stars but I wish they would give these kids more time to just run and play. Imagination on the playground is as important as understanding a Venn Diagram in 2nd grade. The other thing is that these kids are expected to read nightly and do occasional homework. Obviously from the scores and results it is paying off but this is a school that demands parent involvement so don't think your kids can be placed here and instantly succeed.

Wonderful school as demonstrated by academic scores. The teacher's are caring, fun and seem to truly enjoy their jobs. My children love going here. I would and do highly recommend it to anyone.

My student has attended this beautiful new campus since its inception, when he was in 2nd grade. The staff did testing, dentified his learning disability, and scheduled one-on-one with the dyslexia specialist. This is what public schools are SUPPOSED to do, but RARELY DO. He now devours books and reads far above his grade level. The staff and administration support our children, holding them accountable for their mistakes and and celebrating their acheivments. The district has won multiple State Football Championships, which everyone knows, but I would also like to point out that a young trombonist earned a place in the All-State Band, quite a feat for a student in a AAAAA HS, much less a small town girl, and that LH students have also won spelling bees and other UIL events to be proud of. Props to Bill Burden and what they've done for my student.

Great School, Great Teachers! My children have went to liberty hill schools for 8 years and loved it! The district is ahead of other school districts in academics and won the State Championship!
