My grandchildren attend both the elementary and jr. high schools and we are very pleased with all aspects of the school, administration and teachers. They came from a school that only cared about TAKS scores and not our children.

This school only cares about the Funding they are getting from their After school program.I have a problem with most of the staff. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone!

I rated this school before. I wanted to add a comment about the school's being 'recognized' in reading and overall performance. Yes, it's an 'exemplary' rated school. As a parent, I will say it's because the children are drilled in TAAS/TAKS preparation to the extent that they know everything on the test before they take it. That doesn't mean they know these things. There is so much testing preparation being done, that last year, many of the teachers ended up teaching 12 weeks of curriculum in 6 weeks. Parents are currently trying to remedy the situation. We strongly believe the principal is only concerned about how she rates as a principal, by getting these 'exemplary' ratings. Many parents are outraged. We are tired of teaching our kids how to do their homework!
