I am a current student here a lhs. I may have to say that lyford is going down hill. They are too worried about what we're wearing, and whats going on in our personal lives.[Its none of there bussiness]. They need to stop worrying about football already, the boys get new uniforms every year, but as for the girls we wait every two years, and can still keep up with sport rankings. This school needs help.
Lyford is more concerned about the kids wearing 'proper' uniforms (kids in k-8)/high sports programs then their are level of quality education. Nice football field with very poor testing scores. Too many class, too little time per class. Teachers don't have much control over their classes. More chat chit & horse play than teaching.
I attended Lyford High School and am aware that it is in need of improvement, but my life was blessed by the wonderful teachers that helped me through and believed in me---the teachers are really wonderful and do take the time to listen to both students/parents
Lyford High School is in need for improvement.
My brother attended Lyford High School and has a grade point average of a 4.0. He moved to San Antonio only to discover that he was not at the 5th grade math level, but instead he was at a 4th grade level. He was behind in his teachings due to the poor education systm offered at Lyford High School. I do not recommend this highschool.
