Mt. Pleasant High School is now a mere shadow of what it used to be. My son is a graduate of MPHS. The choral dept. used to have large numbers of students making the All Region and even All state choirs. We used to have many of our students go off to large universities and do very well. When Mr. Trice was principal the school had a safe and friendly environment. Academics was stressed...he founded the UIL Booster Club and started the Home Coming Parade. Fine Arts, Academics and all sports were strongly supported and supervised. MPISD messed up when they lost Mr. Trice to a larger district. He had true class.

The teachers are very great although, they along with the parents, have to put up with the Administration which is awful. They have an idea of what they want to do but these new ideas that they are bringing in are not working. We have considered moving. We do not agree with anything that the admin is doing.

My daughter attends this school. She has good grades and is involve in extracurricular activities. I think the school offers an extended program. The school is very good, although some of the teachers in the science department aren't good teachers, but the rest are great.

I have worked at this school for 5 going on 6 years. I have seen so many changes that have improved the academics here and I for one am proud to say I work here!!! The one thing that gets me is the attitude of a majority of students. I feel this high school is doing a great job and continually improving in every area!

And other extracurricular activities as well. This campus is safe and becomeing safer. MPHS is a great school to attend, personal experience.

MPHS has available, many quality academic classes, including dual courses with the college and the AP and pre-AP classes. Athletics is a big part of the school with a growing band and music dept. Kids must choose which activity to be in, as it is difficult to be involved in sports and band. Sports also overlap, which make it difficult for those who enjoy more than one or two sports. Parents can be involved, I have always had positive results in that area. GO TIGERS!

i am a junior of MPHS, and i believe it is a school in desperate need of funding and repair. the school offers a small variety of extracurricular activities, but what can you expect from a small town like mt.pleasant.

I feel that this school in the last 5 yrs. has improved a great deal. When I walk on campus I see the improvements with all elements of learning and children safety. The new Administration has made the schools at the state of the art level, new buildings, equipment and some new staff. I loves teaching the youth that attend my classes, they are while behaved and all around good kids. Mount Pleasant High School is a great school to work at.
