New Caney schools my grandchildren attend all seem the same. all talk no action. slogans, pep rallies, etc., yet intolerance, bullying and violence are tolerated with little or no consequences. If you have a choice protect your children by sending them somewhere else. It is no wonder the reviews are all about the same.
My daughter went to WOMS for 7th grade 2010-2011 and we will not be returning for 8th grade. No communication with parents. I actually sent an email with concerns for my daughter to all 7 teachers and not ONE, not even ONE teacher replied in any way. All the athletics are horrible and embarassing. No teenager wants to change schools and go where they don't know anyone, except for a child who HATES the school. My daughter is sad to leave her friends but is more excited about not having to deal with all the discipline and negative teachers! Very sad and something needs to be done.
I absolutely hate White Oak, Their main focus is Discipline and then Academics. I completely agree that there has to be be order in public schools but this school offers no positive re enforcement to the negative that they administer on a regular basis. If your child is not quiet and overly eager to learn with no discipline problems at all then they may could make it there but if not - This school is a nightmare !!! No Parental Involvement, as they like to keep this school under their control and do not encourage parents to get involved.
My daughter attended this school and it was the worst school experience ever. I had to withdrawl her from this school because she was constantly having issue due to the color of her skin. When going to the principal for help it was ignored!!!
I don't know why you all are writing bad reviews. White Oak Middle School is and excellent school. They have a better band, and some sports are better. They have extra curricular activities, and pretty good TAKS scores.
Im a former student at white oak middle school in porter tx. ive now moved to kingwood and i have to say that whiteoak is one of the worst schools ive ever been to there r soo much fight, the teachers dont help, i was in all dumb people classes ex. blocked classes now that im at kingwood im in all honors classes kingwood lets u be what u want to be at white oak it feels like a prison. i NEVER felt so dumb in my life till i started whiteoak, AT kingwood the no decrimination like at whiteoak, the teachers care more abt themselves then the children, i really didnt like this school if ur a parent and u think ur kid is doing bad at whiteoak PLEASE SEND THEM TO KINGWOOD!!!!!
I think this school is so.......... better than the kingwood schools i go there and it is aweosome i'm lovin it there all the teacher staff and principals and the sudents r great lovin it Goooooo LIONS!!!!!!!!!!
