I just think the world of the leadership at Northrich. The principal, Mrs. Easter, really cares about the children and it shows in the way she leads the school. We also love the counselor, Mrs. Anthony, and all the wonderful staff in the office. My experience at Northrich has been wonderful.

The office staff is HORRIBLE! Very rude and unhelpful. Northrich seems like an ok school but they don't help it at all.

Northrich is a great school. My kids love it there. My only complaint is the front office secretaries. They are very rude and unhelpful. It's discouraging to be a part of a school when you feel so unwelcomed when you walk in the door. The teachers and principal are very nice and very helpful, which is why we haven't asked for a transfer.

We are exemplary 4 times in a row. Fantastic faculty and staff. Our PTA is the very best bunch of hardworking moms and dads.

It is simply the best! Great educators, faculty and parents. Our PTA is very supportive. The school has achieved high test scores for 4 years in a row as a result of the teamwork demonstrated in educating the students.

I was most definitely leery about sending my two boys to a new school in a new state (to them at least). With the anxiety of moving from Michigan, plus having a dad in Iraq in war; the two teachers that my boys have seem to help them right along. Miss Hofher & Miss Taylor are an exceptional teacher team!! They are great with the Preschoolers and make teaching them fun. They even attend their soccer games! I recommend any 4 yr old to start their learning here.

The Principal and Teachers at Northrich Elementary are fabulous. 05-06 was our first year and it was great! My son enjoyed all of the extra curricular activities and family love coming from the Northrich staff. Keep up the good work!!

I love Northrich! The teachers are great and kind. My daughter's teacher Mrs.Harshfield is by far the smartest person I know. It is a wonderful school. The new Principal is really nice.

Unfortunately I was taught that if you can't say something nice about someone, then it shouldn't be said! The Teachers (to my knowledge) appear to be honestly interested in the children and their 'learning', but the down fall of this school (in my own opinion) will be the principal. If one is truly interested in the development of the children with 'problems' (not to mention the whole nation promotes), then why take away the 'mentoring' program? She believes that 'mentors' can 'visit' during the childs lunch time (when the child's only interest is spending that quality time with their 'friends')! But, then again , who am I to question a 'professional'? I'm only in it for the children!

The teachers at Northrich are the best! They know what they're doing and they know how to deal with children. It is a great atmosphere overall.

The teachers at Northrich Elementary really do care about teaching the children and they go that extra mile to help the children in any specific areas that need improvement. The teachers also keep the children in good spirits and interested in learning something new day to day. Northrich is a very clean and safe school. You may not enter the building without signing in at the office first. Teachers are very aware of the schools surroundings and approach all visitors that are in the school without a visitor s badge. Northrich is a great place for the kids to be and that is apparent when you go to the school and view all the faces of the children.

About the tests


In 2012-2013, the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) was used to test students in reading and math in grades 3 through 8; in writing in grades 4 and 7; in science in grades 5 and 8; in social studies in grade 8; and end-of-course assessments for English I, II, and II, Algebra I and II, biology and US History. STAAR is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Texas. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.

The different student groups are identified by the Texas Education Agency; if there are a small number of students in a particular group, the state doesn't report data for that group.
