I think this school is the best in San Antonio,if it wasn't for brooks academy,I don't know where my child would go,he's doing great because of the great teachers,thankyou.

Great school, very aggressive classes and challenging science projects. Classes are challenging and requires parent participation with all course work. The work is difficult, but fair. AMR

My child has attended this school since it opened. I am very pleased with the education my child is getting. The principal is stern with students but in such- is very respected and will do whatever he can to help a student. Tha other admin and the teachers work as a team to help all students get the most from their education, and they are all qualified in the fields and good at what they do. We now have a great sports program and many clubs. My child is learning academics, responsibility, acountability, and teamwork - just to name a few. You know it is a great school when your child is getting a private prep-school education for public school tuition ($0). I believe in my child and I believe in this school.

I absolutely believe that my son is receiving a better and more well rounded education than he would have been receiving in our East Central school district. Most of the teachers have been wonderfully competent and the administration responsive to my areas of concern. However, there is limited parental involvement without a PTA or PTO on campus and limited networking with city wide programs and organizations that would definitely enhance Brooks' representation in several science and engineering areas. Being that this is only their second year of operation, hopefully the administration and managing company will focus on these deficiencies soon.

I give this charter school five shining stars! My daughter attended privated school from kinder -6th grade -- I paided an estimated of $34k for seven years of private school. I want to express how well structured B.A.S.E is and who extremely committed to their students! My daughter has learned a more in this past fall semester and have gained more... regarding the importance in studying than she did in private school. I believe if public schools would follow the structure of B.A.S.E many school would not have to spend so much valuable time prepping their students for the yearly TAKS test. Awesome school with awesome students and staff! 01-2008

I drive over 20 miles a day to send my daughter to this school, our local school is Kirby Middle School and I was not going to send her there due to perfomance and safety. I am satisfied with the teachers and curriculum; need to work on extra curricular activities, in time I am sure they will add on; by the way this is a new campus and the location is great

The school's first year in operation had the anticipated bumps along the way. I found school administrators to be very responsive to concerns -- large or small -- and flexible in meeting the interests of students & parents. Although the focus is science, a great number of students expressed interest in sports, and teachers & administrators responded promptly. I was very pleased with their approach in providing an excellent foundation in language arts and research, which will be of great benefit for years to come. My daughter's writing and research skills improved more than I could have imagined. They could do a better job of communicating opportunities for parent involvement and I think they made a couple of hiring mistakes. However, the teachers who were good were exceptionally good and those who weren't were few and far between.
