I am Not pleased with SW this year! Mr. Battles knew my entire family and vehicles and I never had to tell him my sons name! First the fact that I paid well over $30 in school supplies to be told well it goes in a pile. 'Umm his name is on it so use it!' To be told well its so that when kids don't have anything we can have something..then use the one you scratched the name through and give my son his items! This year alone two things have been taken and ruined so that my son may not use them. This has made me furious. Then twice a student has been 'misplaced' or unknown location. Staff says he went on bus and I said no he didn't. The person never verified who I was or relation to the child!!! Come to find out the child was still at school' whatever teacher said child got on bus needs to be punished! Freaking out the family, the bus driver and a neighbor is not the best way to end a school day! Needless to say I'm inquiring to other schools of transfer!

I love Southwest Elementary. They have a new principal this year who is very efficient and thorough. I went to SW as a child and now my daughter goes there, it is nice to see the changes that are occurring with the times. Way to go SouthWest!
