The level of academic programs at San Saba Elementary is very high. The teachers are dedicated to providing a high interest high level program to a campus that is about 82% free and reduced lunch. Teachers are working hard to provide students with experiences that foster a stronger vocabulary and expressive language base. The new Sharon Wells Math program is driven to teach children to be able to solve math problems in a word problem format that models the TAKS test. Prek3 and Prek4 provide students that qualify a terrific start to formal school setting. The district has worked hard to be able to keep the paraprofessional program funded to allow teachers and students a smaller adult to child ratio. Tutorials for Kinder thru 4th grade run three nights a week and morning computer tutorials are also available. New programs like library class and Invention Convention/Science Fair have been added.
