I have to say that I agree with the reviewers who are less that satisfied with Navarro. I am a certified teacher who knows how a good school district is run. I moved both of my kids out of Navarro (my oldest was there for 7 years) and they are MUCH happier. They are receiving a far superior education at their new public school. I was repeatedly disappointed in the treatment of students towards other students. I was also disappointed that too many teachers in the district did not want to teach, refused to answer student questions during class, and refused to send home graded papers/test so you could understand what your child needed to work on. This is a cookie cutter school district. Your child must fall into their realm of education or your child will get left behind or will mark time when they could be learning MUCH more. I had one of each! It was very frustration. My last complaint is their sports programs. If you have a girl who is into sports....good luck! Their programs are ALL about the boys!

The teachers at this school not only ignore thier students; They assume that the reason we dont understand thier lessons is because we're not listening good enough, Which is not the case. They do not go at the students pace, they go as quickly as they can so they can finish. if you are failing, they blame it on you. If your parents call and ask why you arent doing good acidemically, they'll say its the your fault because you didnt come in early in the morning to get extra help, when in reality, if you DO come in, the teacher is either late or says she/he is too tired and to come back tomorrow. Bullying among students is terrible at this school. If you report it to the faculty, they dont care. I have reported having been bullied 9 times and they still havent helped me. i hate this school.

Not a friendly school. The principal and teachers do not want parents around. Students are bullied by teachers. The sports department always comes first. We are more disappointed every year.

This is honestly one of the best public schools out there, the balance between academics & sports is incredible. The school is not focused 100% on sports -- it has a great balance between both brain & brawn if you will. The teachers here are well, they should be professors really. The leadership in this school is tremendous. Their advanced placement courses are expansive & very detailed as well as their athletic program. The teachers seem to be genuinely interested in their students & their well being. The faculty is very well prepared & trained. I can't say enough good things about this school. It is in a very quaint location & the students there are for the most part very well mannered. There is a total lack of malicious behavior from students which is very rare in this day & time. Due yourself a favor & enroll your child.
