I rate the high school a an F+. As far as the fights i see daily as I pick up my child from school. There is a big bully issue that is going on. And where the officers at. Besides in the visitors booth of the front office. I see fights. Every friday like it's game day or something. I think to myself "why don't I withdraw my child and the him/her to a safer place". The nurses are mean as snakes. And not just to the students. But to the parents too. And talk to you like your the dummy in the room. The food in the cafeteria is either greasy or soggy. And my child is always sick from it. Our Gastrologist office is proof of it. If only we can clearly get it together in the PTA meeting. Things like this can be solved. I also feel that we should have uniforms.

This school is terrible. It seems as though the teachers have no knowledge of one another. As a result, so much homework is given to the student that they have only so much they can do, and when they don't turn it in on time, THEY are punished. If you can find a better school, go there instead. This district isn't even worth it.

This High school is too strict no flip flops and there are only two sets of stairs out of the whole school and they are only three steps... What an ridiculous rule.... And when they discipline they aren't disciplined in a equal manner...

I am a Sophomore at Sherman High and I tell you now, two things, one don't worry about my mistakes in this review im just used to making these mistakes. anyway, we have some of the best teachers you can get, there are teachers that kids that skip every other class get to that particular teacher, in the time allotted, the community we have set up here is a great one, it is a little crowded, but its not an intensely big problem. the facts are, that sherman high has to be one of the ebest highschools in the country, by students opinion, those students that dont learn much, learn something from the teachers here, because they can relate to them, i say as a current student, the school here is amazing.

Sherman High School is a great school, though it doesn't have the best reputation. Sherman has an amazing music program, with a band that continuously places at State competitions and a choir with students placing in the UIL State competitions. The sports aren't particularly strong, but students and parents are enthusiastic and supportive just the same. UIL Academics is heavily supported and particularly competitive among the individual students. Sherman's AP program is the best in its district, if not region. The passing rate is usually above 80% and those students are normally in the top ten percentage of their classes. Generally, Sherman's an amazingly great school for any student to attend.

My tenth grade son is having an excellent experience at Sherman High. As with any school one must find ways to become involved. The opportunities are wide and varied. Academically, his experience has been rich and he will be prepared for college with several A.P. credits under his belt.
