Great school, great teaches, horrible administrative staff. Classes can be quite small, giving the students an easier time learning and more centered attention for help. Not much violence, pretty safe for students. A major problem is the judgmental factor of the principals. 3, each having there own mindset and view of the rules, so students aren't always punished fairly, if for any fair reason at all.

I attended SHS as did my husband and 3 of our 4 children. I am sad to say very little has changed. We have great teachers and poor administrative staff.Discipline by the administration is arbitrarily applied (depending on who you are or are not as the case may be). Learning and student enrichment takes a back seat to taks scores. Do not request a tutor if your child is stuggling because these are only provided to help pass the Taks. However I have found most of the teachers to be wonderful people who are willing to help if asked. I am sorry to say if there was another school in our district my children would not attend this one. I will sign this because it is all true.

Their are certain teachers, band and athletics, that feel that their part of the day is the most important and are not willing to compromise if the student had another activity in an elective. My child is in both and there is a big problem. Most of the teachers are great and so are the Priciples.

I am really concerned with the way that the children here are being taught. I know personally of a couple of classes that if the kids are late in the morning up to even 30 minutes, the teacher never even knows cause he is not in the class room! I have taken both of my children out of this school and put them into a home-schooling environment!
