We are a new family to St. Mary's this year. My children have attended many schools due to the military. I must say that St. Mary's has been a fabulous move for our family in all aspects. There is a new principal and tons of excitement with the change. I love the fact that St. Mary's focuses on educating the ENTIRE child. St. Mary's promotes the family and my children feel like they have found a home!! The children respect and love each other. It is so refreshing to see innocence preserved as minds are being greatly challenged! I cannot say enough about this school or the current administration. We love it! (I have children in 4th, 5th & 7th grades)
There are problems with the admin, but the teachers do a wonderful job given the circumstances they must deal with. Discipline needs to be enforced fairly and promptly. A change in leadership is necessary to ensure the future of this school.
I am proud to say my education at St. Mary's Catholic School gave me a foundation that has allowed me to lead a productive, happy, gratifying and grateful life! I love my world and enjoy every day God grants me...how many people can say that? I bet a lot of St. Mary's alumni, because what St. Mary's instilled in me is worth more than all the money in the world...love of God, love of self, and love of my fellow man. Thank you, St. Mary's...I owe you!
My daughter attended St Mary's for 2 years. She really liked it. When she transferred out she was a little behind in reading compared to her new school.
My children had the opportunity to attend St. Mary's school for little over one year. In that brief period of enrollment, my children were introduced to many fine academic and religious opportunities. One thing I particularly liked about St. Mary's is that they are a school/administration that does NOT believe in 'spare the rod, spoil the child.' Discipline and order, while admonishing with love, are the atmosphere of the day. Disrepect for others was not tolerated. Modesty and decorum were part of the daily atmosphere. Wonder of wonders... they really did enforce their school dress code - skirt lengths, makeup, hair above the collar, etc. Mass twice a week for all grade levels. Academic possibilities through PSIA. Sports after school. Spiritual formation for upper grades. I loved St. Mary's, still do. My children thrived in it's challenging academic environment. I enthusiastically recommend this school!
I have three children attending this school. We have noticed a huge difference on our girls self confidence as well as their study skills. In addition they have grown to love going to school. It is a wonderful school! The staff and parents are the best!
