My kids attended SS full time but my daughter was going 2 b starting Kindergarten at Wise soon. LESS THAN A WEEK b4 school started we received a note stating SS would no longer pick up from Chapel Hill after school. I work 40 minutes away & my husband an hour. This was a HUGE issue since we just moved here. After my husband spoke w/the Director of SS & verbalized his displeasure w/this situation he went 2 Wise 2 drop off paperwork 4 my daughter. He was asking Wise staff about other after school programs in the area when someone from SS called 2 ask what the procedure was 4 picking up kids after school 2 take them 2 SS. The lady after the call then turned 2 my husband & said that was the 1st time SS ever called 2 inquire about after school pick up.

The teachers at Stepping Stone are wonderful. One complaint I have is the disorganization in the main office. Other than the office staff the I give the teachers the highest praise.

Stepping Stone is an outstanding school. We have both of our children at Stepping Stone and are doing everything we can to keep them here. Our 5 year-old began reading well by the middle of Pre-K and our 3rd grader is also doing great and loving learning. Classes are small (10 in each) and teachers and the principal will create individual programming to suit the child's learning style. The aftercare is exceptional. To me, it is a home away from home for the girls.

Stepping Stone is a wonderful school. Our son has grown so much in his first 6 mos.@ Stepping Stone. We have been involved in all ascpects of his education. The teachers and staff are wonderful. My son loves to go to school! That in itself speaks volumes! They allow your child to be an individual, express themself and self discover what their potential is. Your child is not treated as just a student but, as an individual. I can not express the comfort of knowing my son is taught w/ love and understanding. I highly recommend Stepping Stone as your educational choice.

We have been pleased with our Stepping Stone experience. The teachers are very dedicated, and the classes are small so children receive individual attention. There is a strong academic focus without too much emphasis on competition in academics. Every child is viewed as gifted in some way, and those gifts are nurtured.
