My child just finished 5th grade at CVE. Seeing the support this school provides to all student is amazing! My child grades were pretty good until we enrolled in CVE. They made him a A-B honor roll all year around. He was involved in so many activites and clubs. Thank you to all the Staff @ CVE....you have made this past year a breeze of success!!
My two children attend CVE and they love it. I love this school, the principal and asst. are wonderful as well as the teachers here. They really go above and beyond so these children can excel and know they are cared about. i would highly recommend this school
Our family relocates quite often due to the military lifestyle. This is the seventh elementary school we have had a child associated with in the past 3 years. This is school ranks #7 of 7 in our eyes, both of us as parents having eperience in teaching at middle, high school, college, and continuing education. The leadership is overzealous in implementing security procedures; we do support the security and safety of our children, but this school goes way beyond reasonable expectations and uses the excuse of 'this is the way it is' and will not bend. Olympia is a much better option for the Judson ISD. Calls and visits to the ISD office goes nowhere as each school is allowed to interpret policy; even if the implementation is above and beyond there own defined printed rules.
I am a grandparent from Ohio and one visit to the school I was so impressed with the staff and too the safety measures they have at CVE. One of the incredible Kindergarten teachers, along with the Principals, have gone above and beyond with my grandson. The move from Ohio was very difficult for him but with CVE's guidance, he has moved beyond his obsticles and has had much success. Everyone at CVE are A-1 folks. I highly recommend this school for your children. Thanks for being our Angels.
I was reluctant to send my kids to CVE because of the low ratings but decided to give it a try after meeting the administration staff and seeing how welcoming and involved they are. Don't judge by test scores. It does not reflect teaching, but parental time constraints and ESL. The admin., teachers, nurses, and small PTP go well above and beyond anything I've seen at prior schools to involve children, accelerate learning, and to show kids they care. The discipline and security would make some parents cringe but I love knowing my kids are safe and taken care of when I drop them off. The principal and V.P. are incredible and can always be seen actively involved. I'm amazed at how each staff member at CVE seems to not only know my kids' names but treat them with the same care as they would their own. I highly recommend CVE.
My son attended this school for five years. (K-4th) I teach fourth grade (not at this school) and believe this to an excellent school. Every one of his teachers challenged him and made him work hard, and now he makes straight As in middle school. I believe the Core Curriculum to be outstanding and my son loved it as well. I tell everyone how much I think of CVE.
My son went to kindergaten at this school. I did not like this school what so ever. I had some problems with the teacher returning my calls and notes I sent her. The communication is not good at all. I got my sons report card and had some questions the teacher never returned my call. I am very disappointed with this school. We are moving soon so I can't wait to never have to send my child to this school again.
My son attended this school for 1st grade. I would not recommend it at all. The faculty has been unstable and their does not seem to be much concern for the student. I attempted several times to talk to the principal and he never returned my calls. I even made a visit to him but was told he was busy. The is a lack of good communication between the school and the parents.
My boys went to Coronado for K, 1st and 2nd grade and it has been the best school that they have been able to attend so far. The teachers cared, the Principal knew every child in the school. I would spend time after school just talking with the teachers. I knew more about what happend each day, when the boys went there, then I do now, and their in Middle School now. I love to go back home to TX, and get my boys back into some GOOD SCHOOLS. We left Tx for TN and TN for VA. The schools in the other two states have not been as great.
