I had taught at Hall Middle school for 20 years. The faculty and staff are the best in the State. The depth of their careing for the students and each other make this a wonderful place to teach. I am proud to include myself as a member of this family.

HMS teachers really care about student success. They reward students that do well and create plans for struggling students.

HMS is a great school. They care about the student inside and out and the teachers are great and are willing to take out of their own time to help the student. I am in 8th grade and this is my second year here and when you need help you get it! Even though im a kid and shouldnt like coming to school,I really look foward to coming every morning because the teachers are not rude and mean like they are at some schools. And the athletics coaches are great. Your 8th grade student

I am a parent of an 8th grader whom has been having issues whith being laste to school mainly on days I have to be at work at 6am. They school and all those involved showed a genuine concern for him and have gone above and beyond to help me correct the issue.

hall is an awesome school! It cares about athletics just as much as it does school work im a 7th grader (all preap) and i have never made below a b+ it rules!

Hall is such a bad school that we had to take our son out of it! He was way behind in work...failed 2 out of 3 taks test! I think that they spend to much time on their athletes and not enough on their school work!

About the tests


In 2012-2013, the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) was used to test students in reading and math in grades 3 through 8; in writing in grades 4 and 7; in science in grades 5 and 8; in social studies in grade 8; and end-of-course assessments for English I, II, and II, Algebra I and II, biology and US History. STAAR is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Texas. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.

The different student groups are identified by the Texas Education Agency; if there are a small number of students in a particular group, the state doesn't report data for that group.
