the current principal is extremely strict and to orientated on taks. Most teachers are very nice and patient.
The school has been horribly run for several years and funds have been spent poorly. In the second semester of this year the school has run out of paper. The school is much too oreinted on Taks Testing, and many of the teachers are without proper crudentials. New construction has made this school dangerous for students and violence and drug usage is high. The school does fair well in its wonderful UIL and athletic programs. If your child is in band, dont send them to any other school. Parent-Teacher involvment is fair. The quality of the children education is hindered by lack of supplies, horrible planning, and lack of proper curriculum. Mr. Tafolla is the best teacher at this school. If your child will be atending Central encourage them to work hard in math so in their 7th or 8th grade years they can take Algebra one with Mr. Tafolla.
Good school but athletics are not allowed until 7th grade
