I love the small size of this elementary school and the small class sizes. I was initially hesitant about trying a public school, as I thought my child would not receive the high quality and personalized education. I am glad I tried, Bren Mar Park! My child is in K and his teacher is absolutely fantastic. The principal and her team are excellent and have a genuine interest in the children. There are also many parent/student activities that engage children.
I was converted. I was strictly sending my daughter to private school, but I heard so many other parents in my neighborhood talk so highly of Bren Mar Park that I thought I would give it a shot... and save a lot of money too. Wow! It's a wonderful school and it resembles the public schools of my childhood... not at all what the media would have you think about the public school system. I am so glad I made the switch. BTW, to me 5-stars is perfect... I gave it 4-stars, which in my mind is extremely good.
We love this school. 'The teachers and staff are extremely dedicated. The only negative I have is that there does not seem to be a lot of parent involvement. I would highly recommend this school.
During the past 3 two years this school has been great and one of the most dynamic in getting students to higher learning. I would recommend this school.
Bren Mar Park is a great little neighborhood school. The principals are extremely dedicated, as are the teachers. My child will be entering his 6th year at Bren Mar and I don't think he has ever been in a classroom with more than 22 students. This is a small school with classroom sizes anywhere from 16 - 24 students. If you are moving to our neighborhood I urge you to come in and meet the principals and staff. Some people new to the area just automacically enroll their children in private schools without even investigating the neighborhood school, which I think is a mistake. We love Bren Mar, and I feel fortunate that my son has had such a wonderful elementary experience. Bren Mar also has wonderful LD and esol teachers.
