My son enjoyed his first year at SRI and the GATE program. His teachers worked well for him, though one was a little hippy dippy for my taste. Lots of room for more parents to become more involved, but the events, etc, have gone well to date.

This school is AWESOME!!!!! My son has Aspergers Syndrome and went to Sparrow Road in the 2009-10 year. The principal and teachers are phenominal. We moved to Missouri towards the end of the year and now a year later they still write letters to my son and in the beginning called often to check on his transition. The student to teacher ration is adequate and the special education is outstanding. One special ed teacher Katie Roggie is a true godsend for any student to be lucky enough to have her. She is so knowledgable and a problem solver and out of the box thinker. I can't say enough about all the staff and admin. Truly outstanding!!!!! I am so sad we left because the school we are in now is deplorable and completely lacking sped services and has a less than 50% grade level proficiency in testing.

This school has the best teachers - they really care. They have their own 'Angel Tree' at Christmas each year where teachers recommend students at the school, to go on the tree, and then teachers and others at the school 'adopt' a child from the tree and buy Christmas presents for them, all out of their own pocket I might add. They are the best!!!

Our family has had a positive experience at Sparrow Road Intermediate. Problem children are identified and handled which encourages the students on the edge to do positive things. The Music program is empasized and encourage. Some of the teachers are excellent role models for the parents emmulate volunteering in the community, with after school programs and in general are good people. We have enjoyed being associated with SRI for 4 years.

I'd have to agree. The school is clean, teachers are helpful and very active in their classrooms and the staff in the office is awesome.

I have nothing but good things to say about Sparrow Road Intermediate. My son is in the 5th grade and he loves it. The school is very proactive when there are problems they nip them quickly. The teachers are top notch.
