I am very impressed with Parkside. This is our son's second year, the teachers are excellent and the principal truly cares. Some days I can't believe the complex lessons they complete at such an early age. My son in Kindergarten started work on bar graphs, addition and substraction, and rationalization/comprehension type skills. But I would rather have my children pushed academically then just attend one big day care. If our nation's education system is turning it around, it must be starting at Parkside. I also agree with the parent that posted on June 8, 2011... Parkside has zero tolerance for bullying and it is enforced! It's to bad Parkside only goes to 5th grade! One last thing though, I the parents are involved, care, and want their children to succeed. Parkside plus involved parents equal our children's success! Thank you Parkside for caring about my son's and soon to be daughter's education!
My son will be starting 2nd grade next Fall and I love this school and the staff. It is a newer school which is nice, but aside from the structure the staff is top notch. No school is without flaws but the Principals are always available to the parents and the teachers are fantastic. The kids are always happy when you see them and that says alot for me. They have a no tolerance for bullying policy and it is strongly enforced.
Parkside is a great school. Both of our children attend Parkside and they both love the teachers, staff and administration, as well as the Principal and Vice Principal. Thank you for making this school so great! We love you guys! Keep up the great work.
The teachers at Parkside truly care about our childrens education. I feel comfortable with the way my son is being tought and treated at Parkside. The quality of work and teachers is the best!
Parkside indeed is a really good school, with caring teachers for the most part, and great staff & PTA. The principal has been accessible and come through whenever issues arose that required his attention. Both my children attended Parkside, and while my son has gone on to middle school now, he once was assigned to an ineffective teacher for homeroom. My son has always been a high achiever and an honor roll student, and where once he was excited to go to school and eager to learn, he no longer was and dreaded school. This teacher seemed bored and moody about teaching and let the kids teach themselves for the most part while she sat at her desk and stayed on her computer 85% of the time. Once brought to his attention, Mr. Eichenberg took care of it. This a school who takes care to address issues effectively.
I enrolled my daughter at Parkside three years ago in the second grade. She had previously attended a private school in the area from PK through first grade. I was amazed at not only the quality of the education, but also by the ability of the faculty/staff to create a family environment.
The staff is amazing at Parkside and the administration is awesome! They bring out the best in the kids!
Because the staff and teachers are willing to work with community professionals in the best interest of the children.
They are providing and excellent education for my children. The staff and teachers are wonderful and truly care about the students.
My son attends Parkside Elementary School and we had a wonderful experience for the most part. The class sizes are large and at times observed that it was a little much for the teachers to manage. Great communication between parents and teachers. But noticed that the parents need to take the lead and provide direction on what they are looking for. However we did have concerns over process and procedure as to access, records, and school nurse. Even though these concerns were minor it open the door for concern with regard to liability, accountability, etc.
