Waples Mill Elementary School

Hello, My daughter and son have been attending WMES since 2009. The teachers and staff have done a fantastic job with general and special learning needs. Two and a half years later--The Results speak for quality and attention my children are given. Great School!

sent my son to this school after reading all the other reviews on this website, but found it absolutely not a good school at all ,very unwelcoming school office staff, unconcerned principle and irresponsible kindergarten teacher not concerned at all about children's safety inside her own class room her excuse was that she has 27 kids to watch.

I think Waples is a great school! The staff is well educated, constantly striving to make learning interesting and encourages learning by incorporating the kids strengths. Parent involvment is encouraged. The pta is very active.

We LOVE Waples Mill ES! It was a HUGE reason we moved to Oakton. And Oakton is an incredible place to live. I can't say enough about how great this area is!

great school located in a great neighborhood with absolute emphasis on discipline,academics and character. would have liked to see more extra curricular activites though.

Fantastic school! One of the few best school in Fairfax Co. The teachers are of the highest quality. The curriculum is outstanding, awesome technology, superior library. Loads of parental involvement, strong and active PTA. Most important, students are taught math & reading to their abilities, 100% passed SOL. The teachers of each grade level work as a team and pull in specialists for the groupings to ensure that each student is getting the instruction that he/she needs
